The sea view was very good.

The staff - especially the night staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the facilities were excellent. Car parking was very easy and no restrictions

This was our second time using this hotel for a short break. Just as good as the first. Great hotel to use while we explored the surrounding area. Very good breakfast and the staff are first class.

I thought this hotel much inproved since last time we stayed here 100% better

The hotel and the staff were very pleasant and we would consider staying there again.

Our particular room was too small and the shower was rather ineffective. We would ask for a different room if we were to stay again.

Staff were friendly helpful and gave excellent service. The carvery was good and the breakfast was very good. The bedrooms were very nice ad nicely decorated the bathroom was excellent but the shower didn't work very well. Great price for such a pleasant place to stay

The shower wasn't good and the coffee was just ok. If the interior design of the Bar and restaurant was improved it would make a massive difference to the experience of the hotel and maybe attract more external customers. Most of the window bars tended to block the sea view which is a shame

Very clean, staff very friendly, breakfast excellent. Price even better. Location was fantastic - right on the front. Free parking always a bonus too. This is generally a very good hotel, only with a few minor problems which are possibly specific to each room.

Despite being lovely and clean, the room we had wasn't so comfortable. Bed was extremely knobbly - could do with a new mattress. Also our bathroom was uncomfortably hot (and we could not control it) - we're never usually ones to complain about warmth, but this was excessive. Also the handle fell off the bathroom door, which meant that if either of us had of been there on our own, we would have been locked in - with no escape from a window or anything!!! Fairly alarming.

The breakfast was good but had to pay a supplement for smoked salmon .

The bistro was busy and not very clean so we did not eat there.

I was allocated a room over a wedding reception which went on until 12.10am and the bedside light and my bed were reverberating all night!!!!! Then the guests were very noisy and disagreable and it did not stop until 20..am when a group of people outside then shouted for a further hour or so. So no sleep desoite working the next day. However I was given a discount on my bill. Please do not put guests over a wedding!!!!!!!!

Hotel: our room looked on to the car park of the Hush Hush club next door, and the closing-time ritual at 3am on weekends is not conducive to sleep. Poky room, no bath, just weak shower. If it's not possible to get us an Observer on a Sunday, don't ask us if we want a paper. Town itself: maybe it's a winter thing but the seafront at Lowestoft is not what I'd call a "destination" - yes, they're doing lots of work to the beach etc but I don't think it would be that great even when it's not full of JCBs. The town has its share of aggressive beggars - when we refused one we were told, "I'll remember you!" Nice.

Good food and choice of real ale in the bar. Good selection for breakfast including several different fish options. Sea view from bar/restaurant.

No ability to adjust heating within room. Was a bit cold when we returned late at night (although it was zero degrees outside).

It is simply everything, I want in a hotel, without being over the top.

The creaking floor from the room above. The music could be heard in the room from restuarant/ bar beneath.

I loved the location and how clean the hotel was and the Carvery was amazing and only £5 and that included pudding

The smell of the carvery pervaded the public areas of the hotel. Nice at first.. Room was directly above the bar so was noisy.
