Really good location, just 10-15min from the train/bus stations (if you're coming to Birmingham hill street station or having Megabus bus to Birmingham new street stop). Close to canals, parks, city center, main attractions. Few minutes to Tesco and few other shopping centers. We found really nice italian cafe called Pasta Di Piazza and were having breakfast at Ju Ju's cafe - the best breakfast I've ever had! Hostel by itself was clean, cozy, room was small, with 4 beds, and private bathroom, bed linen was clean and all main facilities / information was provided. Nice common sitting room with movies in the evening and main kitchen facilities. Would recommend for a friends!

Was a bit noisy during the night (might be because gay parade was on the same weekend). Breakfast should be a bit later (now it is 7.30 -10 am) as we really wanted to sleep on holiday, and were late both mornings we stayed :)

The Staff were all very nice and friendly. you get to meet new friends from all over the world that is either working or travelling for leisure. It is a very decent hostel. I highly recommend this place to all travellers :)

The guy at the receiption is very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast, super value!

No heating in the room.

Came to Birmingham to study at uni for a weekend and needed a place to stay cheap. Hatters was perfect for this, I got in late on Friday night and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I had a chat with the staff and told them what i was doing in Birmingham. I got a really quiet room and had a good nights sleep before getting up to study the next day. There were plently of people at the hostel staying there for a night out, having stayed in hostels whilst travelling I am used to the hostel environment, but but I wasnt kept awake. Looks like you could have a good a good night out there with the pub crawl put on by the staff if thats what you're going for.

Great location - easy access Snow Hill, St Paul's Square and canals. The Pod rooms are cool. The staff are helpful and it is good to see other hostelers. Toast, T and coffee available all day and use of a kitchen.Cool common room area.Bathrooms are plentiful.

Hairs on bathroom floor and in shower; rubbish left in bedside drawers

The staff were friendly and helpful, the showed us where to go and where not to! Beds were comfy, rooms were clean, I was lucky enough to have good roommates! All round I think ots a great place and ill def go back

Television/music on all the time in the common room, I can watch TV at home, I prefer quite hostels without constant music or TV.

I booked in a 4 be room, it had 6 tere are no 4 bed rooms. your site said lockers in rooms. The rooms had no lockers

filthy bathroom, didn't really want to use it, needs a deep clean! would be nice if you offered towels to hire for a few pounds a day. loud snorers in the bedroom, couldn't sleep!

This place was amazing. I would count my one week spent there as one of the best weeks of my life: I met so many interesting people, the staff were extremely helpful and sociable and I really felt at home. It's entirely understandable why some people have spent years at the hostel A+++

Good sized room and en-suite bathroom of good standard.

The mattress wasn't great. Being woken up by other guests coming home from a night out.

24 hour tea and toast. Helpful staff, plenty info as to what's on. Community atmosphere. Good for shopping, night out in the city.

Friendly, lots of info. Stayed in double ensuite and was comparable with some of the city centre hotels. Dont need to go out lots of chill spaces and big screen TV.

Nothing really

I had liked staff. Easy to access. 24hour tea,coffee, juice, even break fast. I like my double room and wish to stay again in that room. Me and my girlfriend hope fully to stay again here.

* Friendly staff (bonjour Freddy!), comfy and clean facilities! * They reacted nicely to the bed missing (they reduced the fare) and provided with an extra pillow.

* The lack of isolation between each room, other guests came back at 4am... And were very noisy for one hour! (I wish I had told at booking that we were not coming to party but to have a night sleep). * We have booked for 5 and found ourselves with 4 beds only (so my nephew slept with me)

I stayed just a night but I really liked the hostel. I loved the dinning room where you can cook what you like and have some cofee.
