With free coffee and toast throughout the day, 24-hour front desk and free internet, Hatters is renowned as a party hostel, a 10-minute walk from Manchester city centre. The colourful dormitories all have bunk beds, wooden flooring and heating. Guests have access to shared bathrooms and towels are available to hire from reception. At Hatters Hostel Manchester, facilities include a large social area, a self-catering kitchen, a pool table, a TV and a DVD collection, and various games. Regular pub crawls are organised by the hostel. Manchester has over 50 museums and art galleries all with free admission. Manchester Rail Station is a 10-minute walk from Hatters Hostel. Staffs is good enough, always smile and willing to help. The water in shower room is too hot. I was unable to take shower.

I absolutely LOVED the staff they were so lovely and very very helpful. The location was also very convenient as there are many stylish shops around and Piccadilly is only a 5 minutes walk away so it was also very convenient for visiting the museums. Breakfast was very nice and the lounge was a place were you could comfortably spend some time between activities.The hotel also offers a couple of nice activieties like a pub crawl and a guided tour. All in all I would absolutely recommend The Hatters Hotel especially for backpackers or city tourists on a budget. The toilets looked a bit like pub toilets, but weere fairly clean. The water in the showers was too hot and it was impractical to have to press the button every 30 seconds to have more water. Also, it would be nice if every bed had a reading light, so that everyone could sleep or read comfortably. Additionally it would be nice to have a little table or chest of drawers for every bunkbed so that we wouldn't have to put our things on the floor.

Friendly staff, great hostel facilities to accommodate everyone passing through the city, great kitchen facilities. Although I understand their importance, I just don't like temporized shower taps. Other than that I had a great stay at the hostel.

It's really near from Manchester Piccadilly station and main street. Staffs are kind and breakfast was nice. It's freeeeezing in the night. Even though there is a heater, I couldn't wake up in the morning because of coldness.

they provide food and drinks free and free wifi in public place. the bath room is very cold when taking a bath; we could not use wifi in our room.

Great location, friendly staff, nice and warm rooms. All the basic needs were met, and free tea/coffee/hot chocolate and toast the whole day!!! Great environment.

Friendly staffs, convenient location and reasonable price! There are different activities in the hostel. I joined the city tour on Saturday and it was great!

The staff were incredibly friendly at all hours, reception was never unmanned, the kitchen and common areas are spotlessly clean. The hotel was 15 minutes from everything which some days was brilliant and some was awful dependent on the weather. The room was far too hot all the time, if you are not comfortable sleeping in underwear in rooms with strangers I wouldn't recommend this or any other hostel to you. Had all the flaws every hostel has, small rooms etc. but if you're going to moan about that then pay the extra for a private hotel room is my advice,

I really liked their attitude to age. It literally caters for every age without a feeling of prejudice. I met an elderly lady on the stairs who must have been in her 70'S. No worries at all! Usual stuff sharing a dorm. Sweaty feet and snoring!
