With a pool, gym and free Wi-Fi, this hotel is set in the Rhondda Valley, 300 metres from Rhondda Heritage Park. It has a bar and good restaurant serving traditional cuisine.

This large Victorian building has character. 40 minutes from Cardiff city centre and 20 minutes from Cardiff International Airport, and less than 2 miles from the beach.

Room was good and had a chair and TV. Bed was ok.
Breakfast was orange juice or corn flakes and tea/coffee and toast. had to ask for plates and cups. No other selection of o/j or cereal. Hot selection was made and very sparse. Bathroom was mouldy and no hanging facility.
It's a lovely place, but not quite close enough to the shops, once your there your stuck, they bump up drink prices because of it. Good rooms and good value for money but stay away from breakfast! It was terrible!
Breakfast was disgraceful! A so called buffet breakfast cost £12 a couple and all u got was a cold sassage, a raisin of bacon and an over cooked hashbrown - no eggs no beens no tomatoes! And no buffet! Tea and coffee was limited (stated unlimited) and orange juice was tescos own brand and tasted like wee! I would not recomend it
Very shabby rooms with broken beds and bathroom fittings and no chairs or bedside lights. Appalling breakfasts and poorly stocked bar (no tonics on a Friday night for example) very noisy industrial estate on Sunday morning. Overall impression of neglect and run down property.
No staff on hand to sort small issues.
room was nice and clean, nice bathroom.nice toiletries provided, nice drinks in room tea coffee and bottled water.
breakfast, not what i expected for the money.
Staff were brilliant and so friendly and helpful couldn't help enough. food was lovely and room was clean and tidy
That we booked family room yet didn't have any and we had to share a bed with our 3 yr old so wasn't best night we have had but other than that can't fault the hotel and would go back
We stayed in the Haveli fir a long weekend in August. The location was ideal for us as we had a wedding in Catdiff but didnt want to be close to Cardiff. The staff were all very helpful & polite & booked us in very quickly. The rooms were very big, clean & basic, could do with a hint of paint in places but apart from that it was ideal. I looked on google to see where it was prior to going & it seemed to be on an industrial estate, it sort of is but you dont notice, dont let this put you off. If your fussy & require fairy dust on everything you touch dont go, if your a normal person looking for somewhere nice as a base while your in Wales then visit The Haveli.
We stayed in a room up some outside stairs, some tiles were missing - health n safety might have a say on that but i was negotiating them in 4" heels so if id fell/twisted an ankle it would have been my own fault.
Price was competitive. The bed was spacious and comfortable. Tea making facilities were very good, including sparkling water. There was plenty of room in the car park.
I didn't realise it was in an industrial estate ! The carpet was dirty. Once the volume was turned down on the TV, I was unable to increase it. No chair in the room. The shower pressure was very poor - most of the water was coming out of the back of the control unit, not the shower head. No curtain to black out the window - resulting in waking at first light ! Generally had a very dirty, neglected appearance both inside & out: Tiles missing on exterior staircase, broken bench/table & discarded cardboard box left at front of property (clearly, these had been there for a considerable time). Needs cleaning & a coat of paint !
Very clean. Lovely modern room. Beautiful bathroom. Appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities. Good heating system.
The Haveli is really a motel rather than a hotel - so the price is a bit high compared to others. The location is rather isolated - you really need a car - I was visiting family & it was difficult getting a local taxi (had to wait an hour on a Saturday morning).
Great price, when others around ramp it up this time of year, nice big rooms. if you like Indian food, it has a great priced restaurant with great food. sports area, Pool table and Sky sports for the footy. this is the second time I have stayed, and enjoyed both visits. friendly family staff.
The rooms were very clean
No iron or hairdryer
Beds comfortable ,staff helpful It suited us we were visiting family ,so could eat with them
Poor choice for breakfast .Access to room up some dicey steps ,could be dangerous if wet .Poor shower, room slightly grubby ,room not serviced one day
The manager was very friendly and helpful. Beds were new and very comfortable.
Although they said the place had recently been remodeled and the beds were excellent and comfortable, the building was very old and in need of structural repair. I thought there might be mold in the bathroom.
very basic facilities, nothing to say positive,
dirty looking room, carpet, doors were covered in dirt, no chair in the room no drinking water,
Like a chain hotel but with a personal touch.
Service Value for money Cleanliness Staff very helpful
Helpful staff. Clean and neat. Fairly quiet. Restaurant available although we did not use.
Nothing to not like though basic breakfast.
Convent location, good comfortable bed.
Breakfast not served till 10.00 am due to a function, not convient for us as we had to be in local church for a 9.30am christening.
Staff was friendly.
Vegetarian Curry dish portions were small for the cost.
Was visiting wales for a family get together and often visit wales for other events along with general weekend breaks. Was welcomed at reception very warmly, gentleman on reception noticed I was on a crutch and offered to change my room from first floor to ground floor. Needed an iron and and was promptly delivered to my room after asking at reception. Room very comfortable with large screen TV, lovely bathroom and free Wifi. Tried the bar and was welcomed warmly again along with table service. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience and will be staying there again
Poor location picture in the advert was not true representation .hotel run dawn
The Food was good in the restaurant, but not a varied choice on the cost
Craftsmanship of the room fit out. Poor
staff were polite and helpfull
The Hotel was similar to a motel style, we were checked in by Bal who was really helpful and approachable. The room was airy and clean. We were hungry on arrival and ate at the restaurant. The food was amazing. I had the best curry ever i had a chicken curry and my husband had chicken tikka balti- well impressed. I would recommend the Haveli hotel and also the restaurant.
the hotel accommodation was clean and comfortable,
The toilet seat was broken and the bedside lamp kept shorting out. A for the staff we only met one, who gave us the key to the room. The worst thing about out was the food we had in the restaurant, quite the worst indian meal we have ever had and I have traveled a lot
