Haven Cottage  

I thought Haven Cottage was very charming. Delightfully decorated, with a very warm welcome and a lovely breakfast. I wouldn't hessitate to stay again.

The bedrooms are up narrow twisty stairs - don't take too much luggage!

The owner was funny and friendly. Gave us info on walks to do. We had coffee and homemade cake on arrival. The room was beautiful.

Very friendly hosts, couldn't do enough for you, excellent breakfast. Our first room was too small, we asked for a larger room, they gave us room 6, very large and very comfortable, no hassles.

Steep narrow stairs, very awkward to carry luggage up and down. I could not find the code for Wi Fi connection, had to wait until the morning to get the code as the hosts were not on the premises. Small car park.

Firstly we had a warm friendly welcome, tea and home made cake, lovely.our room was warm clean and comfortable with every thing we needed.thanks a very gold breakfast with lots of homemade breads and Hans. All. together cracking.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Haven Cottage. The owners/staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and room 5 was very comfortable, clean and cosy. Lovely freshly cooked breakfasts and tea and cakes on arrival. Very well placed and close to a variety of good restaurants like the Glass House and Dodds.

Everything about our stay at Haven Cottage was wonderful...from the warm welcome with tea and cakes from Tim to the delicious breakfasts and extremely comfortable room. We stayed in suite 6 and it had everything we could need. Very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, space to relax and very cozy. I would certainly recommend a stay at Haven Cottage.

Very friendly staff, from the moment of booking to when we left. Very helpful and kind. It was only a quick stop over stay, but was above and beyond the service we expected. Very personal and interactive making it a very comfortable stay

We stayed in room 8 and it was just as amazing as the pictures we saw on here. Huge walk in shower and free standing bath tub. Very comfortable bed and astonishing view from the private balcony. Tim and his staff were very welcoming and attentive. Jake the dog was adorable. The cottage itself is very homely and we felt very comfortable during our 3 day stay. Breakfast was fantastic, all locally sourced produce. The black pudding was outstanding. Location was great and its nice and quiet. Will definately return and would heartedly recommend to anyone.

everything - the whole place was wonderful, cake and coffee on arrival, gorgeous room, fantastic bath, bedroom, balcony and facilities - breakfast was great too. Will stay again... and Ambleside is a perfect place to be near for food shops and bars as well as a lovely walk to the lake.

Haven cottage is a very nice bed and breakfast, the people that work there are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely

The owner Tim was a delight and very welcoming and entertaining. The rooms were beautiful and there was such effort and attention to detail in their hospitality. Would definitely return!

Everything...Tim and his staff were fantastic from the second I arrived, never thought of staying in a B&B whilst on business but I will definitely do it again. Be warned it's not easy to get up in the morning as the pillows are amazing, I need some! I will return with family for a holiday. Oh and the shower was great too, very powerful.

Honestly can't think of a thing I didn't like.

After a very warm welcome from Tim and some nice Tea and Cake he showed us to our room which was extremely nice, clean and well furnished. This was an excellent break for us and we would absolutely recommend Haven Cottage to anyone and everyone! A lovely cooked to order Breakfast was made for us before we left for home. Well done Tim!
