The small B&B was in a stunning location. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the English breakfast was cooked to prefection
Very good breakfast, though at a set time. Bed was fairly comfortable and the shower was good. Parking was easy (not like some places in the Lake District!). The owners were friendly and helpful, including allowing us a late checkin without any trouble. Good views from the bedrooms.
Nothing major. It is a little remote, particularly if the ferry is not running (late at night).
Comfortable room, the view from our bathroom of the lake and farms etc
Wifi only worked downstairs, having to go to the bathroom next door
The location to the surrounding places of interest was perfect and the view from our window was a pleasure to wake up to.
Unfortunately being on a strict diet from my doctor, I was unable to fully enjoy the wonderful items for offer at breakfast but watching the others enjoy theirs was torture!!!!!
View from the room was fantastic. Breakfast was excellent Lovely location
Emma and Mark were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, clean and had magnificent views. I would certainly stay there again :)
Great facilities and friendly staff, make you feel very welcome!
A bit of a hill walk if you decide to walk back to the B&B after taking the ferry but fine for most able walkers.
nice people, great view from window, lovely breakfast,
nothing all great
Lovely room, great view, very good food.
Quiet location just across the ferry from main tourist areas - but longer distance by road; reasonable-sized room and bathroom with good view; friendly and helpful hosts ... when there. Pubs and restaurants reasonably close-by. Good walks in area.
Hosts weren't there on arrival - a note and key left for self check-in; even though others had noted this, it was still a little disconcerting.
The location was ideal for our plans to go to Hill Top and cruise Lake Windemere. The breakfast food was well prepared. The potential for this business appears to be good, as it is in a very lovely area with spectacular views.
The owners were not very hospitable. They were out when we arrived and we didn't see them until breakfast. We didn't feel they had the heart for running this business, which might explain why it was up for sale. Wi-Fi and cell phone use was a problem, but we understand this is common in the area.
Didn't like having to reconnect to the wifi every time we came back from being out. Also very little personal attention or local recommendations. Would have appreciated clean towels when there for 4 days.
Position overlooking lake,homely,comfortable,excellent breakfast
Emma was great and we loved our stay. She made a GREAT omelette!
It was great
Very comfy bed. Nice views out the windows
Ferry not working was a nuisance but not your fault
Emma andMark excellent hosts, location great, close to local pub with excellent food. Best to arrive through Kendal not Keswick as that is a very narrow road.catch Ferry acrossWindremere
For tall people bed footer not good.
Comfortable, clean and really nice breakfast.
Location: views, deer, local pub with excellent food. Relaxed and friendly hosts.
Bathroom sink a bit small, but didn't really affect our enjoyment of the place.
Loved the location - out of town - great view.
Would have preferred option of an earlier breakfast! But it was lovely.
The veiw from our room No:2 was looking down of lake Windermere, really nice on a morning, even seen a young buck running across the garden, the room was cosy & the bed was very comfy, I would and will stay again
The time given for breakfast, 8:30 till 9:00, could of at least been till 9:30
We spent Easter 2014 in this lovely B&B. It is a comfortable distance to walk to the ferry which crosses Lake Windermere. Views from the bedrooms are outstanding. Our room was a good size and beautifully decorated and furnished. Bed was quite comfortable although showing signs of wear and tear with a bit of roll together but a strategic pillow helped even things out. Owners were very nice and run the place with minimal fuss whilst providing an excellent service. The quality of food was absolutely lovely and quantity of the breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. A lovely get away from it all location with enough places to visit fairly close by for a few days away.
Limited eating places for evening meals close to the B&B. There were a couple of pubs, one reasonably close but booking was essential as it got very busy, the other was a good car ride away and was only small with limited parking that got booked up very quickly. Our 'en suite' was a separate bathroom which could be accessed by anyone, a lock on the outside would ensure towels and personal items remain private. However, the view from the bathroom was stunning and it had both shower and bath.
Good location and excellent breakfast
owners were very friendly, and great views from every window, breakfast was spot on.
Lovely room with great views. Location excellent. Wonderful hospitality from Emma and her family
