Hawthorn is easy to find, and has plenty of parking for guests. Very pleased when we arrived and found owner to be very friendly and helpful, as were other staff we saw. Room comfortable and clean, and facilities all available as advertised. Breakfast was prompt, of good quality, and plentiful. We would happily recommend this friendly and comfortable establishment, and would stay again.

The price was reasonable. The bar was only open on Saturday afternoon, so no access to any snacks in evening. Rooms were cold.

The initial reception was very good and welcoming.Breakfast was served by a very nice young lady The fixtures and fittings in the room, in particular the electric sockets need updating, the carpet was badly stained in places and the duvets were of a poor quality. The choice of cereal or fruit juice was very limited. The cooked breakfast was a bit mean and we only had marmalade supplied even though we requested jam as well The main reason we stayed in the hotel was the location. It appears to be the only hotel in Radcliffe that offers bed and breakfast. .

Extremely friendly and attentive staff; relaxed atmosphere. The owner 'Saif' (spelling?) is a great laugh and makes you feel very welcomed. Beats the impersonality of larger hotels, imo. Would defiitely stay again.

The Hotel owner/manager was friendly and breakfast was very nice. When we arrived the rooms were not ready although they stated access from 2.00pm onwards. We had to go out so did not get to examine the rooms until later. The sheets were not ironed and were damp, the carpet was dirty and had not been hoovered. The bathroom shelved was dirty and the shower had not been cleaned.

Manager is a nice person, room is quite clean and comfortable! Far more than I expectation! The location is a little bit far away from city centre. But can take metrolink.

I liked the friendliness, and the service. It's a nice relaxing place. I understand that the hotel is going under refurbishment. Being disabled I found that I couldn't be accomodated on the ground floor. I found it a bit of a struggle getting to my room.

The breakfast was acceptable and reasonably priced There was no opportunity to eat an evening meal. The possibility that the restaurant could be closed should be made clear when booking. There was no milk initially for breakfast

Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding was uitstekend. De kamer was gemoderniseerd en schoon. Onze vrienden in Radcliffe kenden het hotel niet, maar waren verbaasd dat wij er erg positief over waren. Kregen waar voor het geld. De eigenaar was zeer vriendelijk.

The Hawthorn Hotel is a small hotel that's really big on service - nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded from singles to doubles. Could we arrive late - no problem and a really warm welcome on arrival.Need to leave early before breakfast service starts - a member of staff got up early and, cheerfully, cooked us a superb breakfast. Need directions to our destination - he called a local friend for the best route. Then we left a mobile behind - yes, he ran upstairs to find it and keep it safe until we called in ! This was cheerful, kind, efficient good service that was much appreciated and that other hotels should aim to give their guests.

Helpful staff on the evening of arrival. Freshly decorated bedroom and comfy bed. The view from the toilet out of the knee high window onto the street and houses opposite - would have benefited from a bathroom curtain for some privacy Having to wait 15 minutes to check out the following morning. Waitress lacking customer skills.

The hotel was excellent for access to the metrolink trams to visit Manchester, Main thing was that it was clean. The area is a bit run down.
