The Hayesthorpe Hotel is ideally located in quiet surroundings close to the main London-Brighton road in South Croydon (a235). Croydon Business Centre is only five minutes by car or bus. Central London is 20 minutes by frequent express trains from East Croydon or Sanderstead station arriving at London Victoria. The m23 and m25 are just 10 minutes by car and Gatwick airport is 15 minutes away. The hotel is ideally located to enjoy the wide range of amenities that Croydon has to offer. There is an extensive shopping area within the Whitgift centre and the newly built Centrale, which house many of the main departmental stores. The Fairfield Hall is South London's premier arts and entertainment centre, presenting musical recitals, orchestral concerts, pop concerts and professional wrestling. The Ashcroft Theatre presents professional plays. The Warner Village cinema complex has seven screens and the newly built Grant's cinema complex has ten screens showing all the latest releases. From Gatwick Airport:
- Leave the airport going North on the M23 towards London.
- Continue on the M23 across the M25 following the signs towards Croydon.
- The M23 becomes the A23.
- Continue on the A23 through Coulsdon still following the signs for Croydon.
- At the Tesco superstore in Purley go straight across the intersection onto the Brighton Road.
- Follow the signs towards south Croydon.
- Go 1.4 miles.
- After passing the 2nd petrol station on the left side of the road, take the 2nd turning on the left which is St. Augustine's Avenue.
- Go up the hill 0.2 miles.
- The hotel is on the right.

From the M25:
- Leave the M25 at exit 7 and follow the A23 and the signs towards Croydon.
- Continue on the A23 through Coulsdon still following the signs for Croydon.
- At the Tesco superstore in Purley go straight across the intersection onto the Brighton Road following the signs towards south Croydon.
- Go 1.4 miles.
- After passing 2 petrol stations on the left, the 2nd turning on the left is St. Augustine's Avenue.
- Go up the hill (0.2 miles).
- The hotel is on the right.

From Central London:
- Take the A23 to Croydon following signs for Gatwick. This will take you through Stockwell, Brixton, Streatham and Norbury.
- After Norbury make sure you stay on the A23 at the roundabout.
- Go through the 2nd roundabout (2nd exit keeping on the A23, now called Purley Way.
- When you get to Croydon Airport (no longer in operation and is now called Airport House) on the Purley Way, turn left at the Hilton Hotel into Waddon Way (0.5 miles).
- Turn right at Pampisford Rd (0.2 miles).
- Finally, turn left at St Augustine's Avenue (0.2 miles).

By Rail:
- Disembark at East Croydon.
- Go across the tram tracks and catch bus route no. 466 or 312.
- Get off at South Croydon Bus Garage.
- Cross the road at the zebra crossing and carry on up for 100 metres.
- Turn right on St Augustine's Avenue (200 metres).
