Super close to Haymarket. Nice staff.
Lovely friendly staff a credit to hotel
Had to find somewhere to stay overnight as delayed at airport. Got an incredible price on the room. - Very nicely furnished with all the little extras you wouldn't normally expect at that price (tea and coffee, iron in room, hair dryer etc etc). - Wonderful staff! - Great breakfast!! - Lovely character to the place.
A bit cold.
Great location, friendly and extremely helpful staff. Lovely room.
nice bathroom good bed wifi
windy; door not sealed properly + single glazing window. water tap in shower didn't function properly
The room was lovely and of an original shape. The view from the window were some lovely trees that made it feel like you were in your own personal corner of paradise. The man at reception was friendly and very polite. As I arrived before check in he stored my bag and placed it in my room once it was ready, before I got back, so I did not have to carry it myself - I thought this was a lovely touch. Breakfast was fast and very tasty. Room was nice and quiet, took while to warm up, but once it did it was very cosy.
The bathroom needed a bit more attention - cracks in the ceramics of the shower gave it an tired look and did not make it very appealing, as well as the soap on basin being evidently very old.
A warm and cosy experience during a very cold and wintery snap in Edinburgh
The personnel are very friendly
Little problem in the bathroom with the shower but not very hard....
The room is nice and clean, comfortable bed, and good location very close to train staiton.
The room was really big for a single room and the bed was double and beautifully decorated! The hotel is very closely situated to the haymarket train station! The staff was very helpful!
The hotel was near many local facilities, such as restaurants, convenience stores, shops and the bus station. The hotel room itself was kept clean. The lady on reception when we checked in was lovely and explained how to used the buses/trams.
The shower was dreadful, it barely dribbled and although I had it on full power and full heat the water was cold. Desperately needs to be replaced! There was no hot water from the sink tap on an evening, it was barely warm. The room was cold because the radiator was not powerful enough, the windows are single glazed with thin blinds, no curtains. I won't be returning, nor recommending!
the hotel has a great location, friendly staff, nice room and comfortable bed. the hotel has also a bar nearby the reception, if you feel like having a drink before you go to bed!
the room was too cold, expecially the bathroom. the shower wasn't working properly (water flow too low). the wi-fi signal didn't reach our room. the bed sheets were a too small compared to the matress.
Excellent location Friendly Staff Lovely filling breakfast in the morning a bar to relax in after being out all day.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious.
- Location - Staff were very friendly and helpful - The building itself is a heritage building with a lot of character - The rooms were in keeping with the style of the building - Lots of storage (drawers, wardrobe etc) available - A vanity with stool, mirror and lighting available - Loads of power-points across the whole room
- The inclusion of a mini fridge in the room would be great - Shower pressure was unbelievably bad ! Not sure if this was restricted to our room or all the rooms, but the stream was literally a dribble! This definitely needs improvement.
The receptionist was very helpful could not fault the room apart from the shower, very good location.Only thing was we booked the Haymarket but on arriving was took 4doors up to another hotel but had to go back to Haymarket for breakfast.
The shower was dreadful I could have dribbled faster also water was only Luke warm, when we complained we were told by a foreign guy to run it for 15min was still no better saw him again his reply was that's life very rude will not be using again.
I liked that it was far enough away from busy centre that it was quiet.
Staff need to remember that there are rooms in the basement so to control theor voices as we heard a heated arguement and swearing from staff.
Lovely breakfast served by cheerful people.
Some furnishings looked a bit tired but everything worked fine.
I liked to drink coffee into my bedroom. There was a machine to warm the water. There was coffee with milk too. It was very fast to prepare.
I didnt like the price. It could be cheper.
The room was amazing and cozy! The shower was really nice! The tv was
Central for trip to town center
Did not have any problems
We had a wonderful time and really couldn't fault anything. Lovely room, large and comfortable, good breakfast and a pleasant bar to sit in
We weren't too keen coming out and along to get in again but it was a small price to pay for a lovely homely hotel, we will be back.
Location, walking distance from the main sights and easy accessible from the airport. Spacious room and bathroom. Friendly staff.
The room was in the basement floor, under the street level. Bed linen and towels looked worn out.
Excellent staff always available and very willing. Reception staff fabulous would stay at The Haymarket again.
Condensation on windows at all times
Cold bathroom even with radiator on
