On Arrival we were met by Chris who was very pleasant and explained all about the hotel and its facilites and helped us with directions and details of restaurants close by. The room was clean tidy and comfortable.

Professional but informal and friendly service - the owners and staff are there to make your stay a pleasure. The hotel is very centrally situated but just far enough away to make it a quiet and relaxing experience.

The Hotel was by far one of the best Hotels we have stayed in home or abroad. The food was excellent, the bed was extremely comfortable, it was meticulously clean and the staff were very friendly. We realy cannot fault anything about it.

The location was good only a ten min walk to the Harbour. The staff were all very friendly and they couldn't do enough to help you. Breakfast was nice good selection. Room was clean and comfortable. Would deffinetly recomend this hotel.

Lovely hotel in a good location but be aware that,as with most places in Torquay, it is on a hill. The hotel public areas and the bedrooms were clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated. The hotel proprietor was welcoming,friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking, relaxing gardens with seating (and resident ducks) The breakfast was very good with a choice of cereals and fresh fruit as well as the traditional 'full english' Would use this hotel again and happily recommend it

The Haytor Hotel was truly beautiful. The rooms were finished to an immaculate standard with some nice little unexpected extras. The Staff were extremely friendly and very, very helpful! Would gladly stay there again!

We were made very welcome by the staff who were always willing to help us at any time. The weather wasn't very good while we were there but the staff gave us ideas of interesting places to visit. The hotel was beautiful and it's grounds were lovely we couldn't fault it.

Chris and Robert have produced a magnificent hotel, made special by their attention to detail. We were so impressed, we sent them an email titled, "Pining for room 16". The furnishings are classically fashionable, but not stand-offish; the staff are attentive without being overbearing; breakfasts were well-cooked and presented, with a variety not generally associated with the "full English breakfast".We rue the fact that we only booked in for one night... we miss the room. We miss the ducks and the squirrels. We miss Chris and Robert. Staying at the Haytor was the pinnacle of our UK trip. We cannot recommend the hotel highly enough... 12/10 :)

Everything about this Hotel impressed both my wife and myself, we had a wonderful stay and will certainly be using them again. The room was very clean, the breakfast was good and the owners couldn't do enough for us. I would/ will recommend this hotel to anyone.
