The host was very welcoming, friendly and extreamely accommodating. I have dietry requirements, and the host had made a special trip to buy in food that I could eat for breakfast. Breakfast was amazing; and kept us full until about 3pm (despite all the walking we did!). The location of Hazels Roost is fantastic and only a short drive away from most of the places that we wanted to visit. All in all, a perfect getaway!
The perfect stay in the perfect place. A home from home B&B in beautiful peaceful surroundings. Millie is very friendly and nice to talk too, she is the perfect host. Breakfast is a delight. I can't recommend Hazels' Roost enough. 10 out of 10
Very friendly hostess, comfortable room and great breakfast!
Wonderful owner. Close to a great pub for meals or drinks. Located in the Dales for walks to nearby falls, castles, etc. or visits to Hawes and surrounding areas.
Would have liked a communal lounge so that you are not cooped up in your bedroom when you get back. Although after spending all day out in the countryside, after a few drinks in the pub we usually went to relax in our room anyway.
From the very warm welcome to the comfort of our room and the excellant breakfast. It was a perfect weekend
we were not there long enough
good,clean,excellent breakfast and friendly
Convenient location for Upper Wensleydale. Easy and very close by parking. Excellent breakfasts and packed lunch.
Not really anything in this category!
Great breakfast and hospitality. Great cafe next door.
Prices generally, in the Wensleydale area, have increased in the last year or so.
Lovely location, excellent pub The Rose and Crown. Very nice breakfast. Friendly hostess.
Parking was limited. Poor lighting to go down outside steps after dark.
The welcome was warm and friendly. The accommodation has been refurbished to a good standard and was clean and tidy. The breakfast was plentiful, with a good choice of produce and not to be missed.
Nothing negative to report.
Excellent breakfast Ideally located for purpose of visit Friendly, helpful host Clean and comfortable accommodation
THE TWIN BEDDED ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT AND THE VILLAGE SETTING WAS IDEAL. VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.
THERE WAS NOTHING TO DISLIKE!!!!
Fantastic owner, great breakfast and even provided emergency chocolate!
Cosy b&b full of character. Great breakfast.
Very clean bedroom and bathroom. Very good breakfast. Respectful, very helpful and polite host (Millie). Local milk is fab!
Everything about hazel roost was likable. Millie the proprietor was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable and the location was first rate.
Not applicable, I liked everything.
Lovely small B&B. Quiet location in a typical small dales village with excellent facilities. Hostess Millie was very friendly and happy to chat after serving up a delicious breakfast. She was very knowledgeable on surrounding roads/countryside.
Nothing - can't be faulted.
Hazels Roost was a great place to stay on an overnight stop. I loved the fact that we were in the old cobblers room which had its own staircase leading up to it. The furnishings and bathroom fittings were spotless and in first class condition. The breakfast was well cooked with quality coffee to wash it down.
An observation would be that if you are allergic to domestic pets you might want inquire if there are any pets staying with visitors.
Extremely clean and comfortable New bathroom en suite Heated towel rail came in useful! Great breakfast Own front door to the upstairs twin room Friendly family owned business
Quiet location Very friendly & helpful owner Comfortable room Excellent cooked breakfast
Bed too small
Everything in the room had been chosen with good taste and was of high quality. Breakfast was excellent and we immediately went to the village butchers to buy more of the sausage. All contact with Millie and other staff was very pleasant indeed.
Absolutely nothing to dislike.
Our room was not within the main house and accessed by separate stairs. This gave it a quirky feel which we liked. The room was attractively furnished and the beds comfortable. Our breakfasts were taken in the light and airy dining room and were plentiful and tasty. Our host, Millie, was very friendly and attentive and we would be happy to stay again when next in the Dales.
Great place to stay, and a good location just outside hawes. Little B&B with immaculate bathrooms and bedrooms with a homely feel. The breakfast is amazing, I think we were the only ones there at the time but we were very well looked after.
everything; it was gorgeous, especially Millie's potato pancakes!
