Staff are all really friendly
Food & drink excellent. Bedrooms spacious & comfortable. En suite modern.
Excellent location, excellent facilities, excellent staff and honestly some of the best food we have ever tasted. A simply exquisite stay in every possible way, stay here - you wont be dissapointed!
There was absolutely nothing about this hotel that we didn't like.
We have stayed at Healds Hall a few times and the staff have always been pleasant and helpful.
nothing in particular
The food in the restaurant was very good! The rooms however old, cramped and bugs in my bed, silverfish in my sheets. Will not be going back.
quiet, comfortable and good food, what more can you ask? the bonus was a lovely building and nice grounds
Fantastic food and staff
Old fashioned rooms in desperate need of updating
Liked everything. Will be going back in the future. Lovely restaurant, great food. Staff were very, very helpful, friendly and efficient.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Very comfortable, good value. Clean room smart decor.Helpful friendly staff. Good food- express dinner v good value £25 3 courses & 1/2 bottle wine, order before 7pm
Poor wifi in ground floor room
Nothing too much trouble for the staff Breakfast really good Room comfortable and I slept really well
Can't think of anything
Friendly staff and very good breakfast.
Our room was directly below kitchens. View was of loads of rubbish bins. And constant noise of the kitchen fans, hence had to keep windows shut because of noise and flies.
The quirky layout of the hotel The friendly staff Comfy bed
The room was very small The windows were tiny There was no AC
food very good, staff very friendly, room 112 very spacious.
tv reception very poor. base of bed badly stained needs cleaning or covering up.
It was near to dewsbury hospital where my brother was we ,stopped in healds hall every week end for. 2 months ,staff lovely friendly and welcoming ,fresh milk advailable just ask. Lovely biscutes in room and bottled water. As well ,breakfast is fabulous best ever ,nice fluffy. Towels nice clean bedding
Rooms need up dating ,very dusty ,windows need replacing ,very old and wood rotton ,flaky paint ,furnishing very dark and old .if hotel was up dated I would give it 5 ***** but I feel I can only give it 3*** saying that we still would stop at healds hall again ,
The breakfast was very nice and the staff are friendly. The reception areas have been decorated and maintained very well.
I was very disappointed to discover that having reviewed pictures of the rooms online,my room was nothing like the pictures. I feel that due to booking a cheap, last minute deal due to work commitments through booking.com that I was given a second rate, very dated room. I had also requested to be placed into a quiet room and this request was clearly ignored. Due to the heat I had to have the window open and right outside my window was some kind of generator that ran ALL night long, not only this but the space outside the back of the hotel, under my window is apparently the staff congregational area (I have no issues with this as staff have to go somewhere for cigarette breaks, but ideally not under the window of someone who has requested a quiet room).
Just a good friendly place to stay with attentive staff
breakfast vey good - hot toast!. safe parking.
we had 2 rooms and my daughters room in the old part of the hotel was very hot.
Staff were all very friendly & helpful. Good restaurant food.
Wifi was terrible
The service in the "bistro" and the quality and comfort of the room
Good reception, helpful staff, good room, good bath and shower, excellent breakfast.Good dinner.
Room too hot (heatwave) needed dehumidifier should have asked.
Great atmosphere. Very pleasant stay. Breakfast and evening meal was excellent.

Some of the rooms are very dated and need new deco very dusty on the lamps and bulbs not working in some lamps some rooms not got toilet roll holder and loo roll on the floor it's really just about the house keeping little things could make it a lot better in the rooms
Evening meal restaurant Pleasant staff Grounds Room size
Breakfast'!! Slow service, bacon awful, eggs cooked in oil with taint. Scrambled eggs tasted of garlic! No fans in room Too little coffee in room
bathroom lovely also room furniture very good quality
long wall in bedroom bare, needs pictures or something to stop it looking stark Didn't like shower tap arrangement, complicated to work out what to turn as there was two different showers and a bath.
1. Really wonderful & friendly staff: we were offered hotel umbrella for a day, because outside it was raining cats and dogs; 2. V. good Yorkshire breakfast. And salmon/omelette was top notch. 3. Nice touch: any national UK newspaper delivered to the door at 7 am at no extra cost.
1. Room TV's are a bit old. And digital signal is not the best: my screen has frozen 4 times while watching the movie on the BBC1. 2. All light switches in the room look a bit too cheap for such a nice 19th century building. Won't cost a fortune to update them.
