The location was good as it was only a mile from my training venue. Shower gel wasn't replaced each day. I used my own after first day. Tired and weak shower units. Bathrooms need updating. No lifts or help up stairs to room.

It was mid-range and value for money. The food was very good - steak cooked to perfection Plumbing. The manager said they were looking into this so I must not have been the first to mention it. Note to anyone staying: The shower will put out only cold so to beat this I turned on the cold tap to reduce the pressure, allowing the hot water to come through.

The staff were very attentive and friendly. The rooms were well equiped and comfortable. The bathroom, although clean had an aroma of urine. I believe this was due the floor being carpeted.

The restaurant food was good The towels were a generous size The bedroom was clean Difficult to get anyone to answer the bell on arrival for booking in Staff confused and left guests waiting for considerable time before taking orders. Very noisy gathering ongoing which made guests feel uncomfortable and staff did not resolve this. A radiator over the bath which was odd. Fan in bathroom didn't work so no way of reducing steam. Shower was difficult to use and I couldn't turn if off properly! Bathroom had mould- not surprised since you can't clear it of steam. Wouldn't stay here again. Not comfortable for a solo traveller

The location and parking facilities. Some of the staff were very helpful and approachable. Breakfast was good. The carpets were being cleaned whilst we were there, we did not go into the bar on the second evening as we felt we were in the staff's way. Similarly the dining room was being set up for a Round Table function and guests were being squeezed into a small area of the dining room for breakfast.

Internet connection not working for 2 days during a stay and staff 'may eventually contact owner'. With every stay there are always some minor problems (Internet does not work, flush do not work, there is no hot water)

The service in the restaurant was poor. They put me in a room with another function going on, did not offer me a table in the main restaurant. Service very slow and the waiting staff gave a poor service, kept you waiting and you had to go up to the bar to get service, and to order your desserts. Did not appear to be interested in your needs felt like a naughty boy put in a corner away from everyone else They could inprove their customer skills Would recommend the hotel to sleep in but not the restaurant

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a wedding event on the evening of my arrival and i was offered a room in a quieter part of the hotel with an upgrade. Just a little more attention needs paying to some of the room furnishings/equipment eg; hanging curtains on rails when falling off, replacing curtains with blackout or heavier fabric. Replacing broken radio alarm or simply don't provide it. The attention to the smaller details would match the very friendly service from the staff.
