BEST WESTERN Heath Court Hotel  

No hand rails in bath for people with poor knees!!!!!!!!!!! Saturday night dinner dance dinner was very poor - not cooked as it should have been. Meat with no colour - very with peel on - cabbage not cut as it should be served

The hotel is extremely well located for our purposes, it is well maintained and clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was large with a good size en-suite. Altogether a good hotel and excellent value for money.

room was clean and the bathroom was big, had a proper bath in it. good wifi access. pleasant bar. staff friendly.

breakfast ended quite early 9.45 and there was no real room service after the restaurant closed at nine, just sandwiches.

This was very convenient for Newmarket town centre and the local amenties giving loads of choice for evening meal, so bed and breakfast is recommended.

My room did not have a window to the outside. The only window opened on to a corridor so couldnt leave it open at night or get fresh air in to the room.

The staff appeared very motivated and focussed, got on with their jobs efficiently and cheerfully.

Internal windows, room was quite small, shower was not very powerful.

I needed a break from life having had a very stressfull time recently. I booked into Heath Court for the weekend, I walked into my superior double room and exhaled - spent the weekend totally relaxed and comfortable, did some shopping, watched some tv, ate some lovely food in the restaurant and by Monday morning I was ready to take the world on again. It is a lovely hotel and I was extremely comfortable.

Carvery was good value for money.

Room decor needed attention, wall paper coming away from the wall in parts

The cooked breakfast was excellent and of a high standard

Cleanliness of room not as expected for a Best Western. Not enough sockets in the room - 1 single with a double adapter for TV and Freeview and 1 for the alarm clock. Free Wireless Internet was very low on reception and dropped out frequently.

The hotel has a very relaxed attitude to clients. Not imposing too many rules and regulations and allowing clients to fully enjoy all the rooms in the hotel. Also the staff appeared to be happy in their work, worked very hard,,, but still had time to see to the important things.

The room & hotel staff were good

Lunchtime snacks served very slowly & without much presentation finesse. Evening Dinner part of order could not be completed due to lack of stock of a fundamental item I.E. only one fillet steak in the larder, the meal which was supplied was first class. One morning some of the items at breakfast were cold dueto the heaters underthe containers going out, solely due to lack of supervision & training to look uot for these things. Also there seemed to be a lack of staff in the bar & dining area. The worst Best Western we have ever stayed in & wold probably not return.

The staff were very welcoming. The room was a little dated but very comfortable and clean. The meal in the restaurant downstairs was superb.

I didn't like the mixer shower set-up, could do with an automatic one. However, the water was always hot.

Central location for shopping, night life well positioned for watching gallops and catching the shuttle bus to the racecourse.
