Heatherbank Guest House  

We have stayed in the area before and find it an excellent location for visiting London. It's down a quiet side street off the main road, which has plenty of shops. We drove down from Yorkshire in our car, it takes about 3 hours on the motorway and Heatherbank is about 10 mins from the motorway. The staff at the Guest House are all very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good and they will cook an English breakfast to your liking. There are several parking spaces outside the Guest House and the underground station is less than 5 mins walk down the road and it takes 30 mins in to the city.

We booked 2 rooms a family room for 5 which was clean plus a room for a family of 4 in which the complimentry cups were dirty. The dining room was far too hot for comfort.

Decent location and good vfm for London prices. About 4 miles from Ally Pally, a tube station two mins' walk away and plenty of pubs to have a drink in nearby.

Be warned, the 4- and 5-person rooms contain 2 x double beds, so possibly not suitable for people who are a bit prudish about sharing a bed with a platonic friend. This was not made clear on the booking.com website.

It was great for the money the staff were friendly the room was clean the breakfast was excellent full english plus toast yogurts cereals and nutella yum . :) it was brilliant and me and my friend came very late in the night from nye celebrations and were able to enter with our own key to the front door.

It's location for visiting family and sight seeing.

Fantastic location less than 5 min walk to tube station. Lovely spacious and clean rooms well decorated plenty of big fluffy pillows. Good tea and coffee facilities with big mugs. Very welcoming to all of my family - brilliant full english breakfast + cereals muffins yoghurt and fruit etc. Left some belongings behind by mistake and hotel rang me within an hour. Good parking. More like 4 star than 3 excellent value will definitely use again and recommend to friends

Nice bedroom. Good en-suite shower and toilet. Own doorkey. Pleasant breakfast room with tasty breakfast. Excellent service at breakfast. Well- kept garden could be viewed from breakfast room. Everywhere clean. Helpful, pleasant staff. Quiet in the bedroom, no street traffic noise. A single tube journey from Kings Cross to the nearest tube to Heatherbank was direct with no changes and only cost £5. Only a short walk after that for about 5 minutes.

My mattress on the bed was a bit hard for me, though may not have been for someone else. The mattress cover was a bit too thin. I like a well- padded mattress cover. Consequently, I did not sleep very well. The only other thing was that there was no hook on the back of the door in the en-suite shower room. I like a hook to hang my dressing gown on. It is convenient for Alexandra Palace only if you have a car. A taxi is helpful and cost £11 to get there.

Well located for the event I was attending. Close to local shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was a very enjoyable stay, nice tv, nice breakfast, taxi service straight to and from the guest house, good location to a tube station and local supermarket, great value for money!

The hotel was clean the breakfast good but the place lacked the extras that make a place returnable.

Homely atmosphere excellent food and friendly service with nice big rooms

Breakfast was very nice, in pleasant surroundings with a lovely view of the garden. Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for two people.
