We were not informed that breakfast finished at 9am on a weekday. I did not expect a bed and breakfast facility not to serve breakfast after 9am. This was disappointing.
hospitalite breakfast bathroom pub bien anglais
lit un peu trop mou…
Too far to walk into Honiton. Bit isolated, on a housing estate! My husband thought drinks in bar downstairs were expensive.
Room clean, plenty of food choices
No mobile network for my phone
Value for money Helpful staff
Bathroom a bit shoddy
Stayed here twice and on both occasions the room had a bath.
The wifi is very flakey, connects, drops off, connects, drops off...
Food good lovely well cooked breakfast
Badly needs up grade bathroom very old, plus. Out dated pine in bedroomn. Owner not very talkative/ friendly.
The man that owns this place is so rude and unhelpful. He also accused me of lying, when in actual fact he lied. Told us we could have the key early if room was ready, then totally denied he said this and accused me of lying ! Avoid this place
We had an excellent evening meal and we were lucky enough for our visit to coincide with the monthly traditional jazz concert, which we enjoyed thoroughly.
The pub was very pleasant but it seemed to be located within a housing estate and this made it a little difficult to find in the dark and rain. However the instructions as to how to get to the pub were very good.
Honeymoon suit one of the best rooms ever rented.Good b/fast lovely bar/dining area, decent size car park friendly helpful staff Look out for Star the yettie! I mean dog.
Back up heaters worked once then cut out seemed like they were set to do so x2.
I was not expecting a lot when I booked here, but it was superb from the moment I arrived when I got a friendly welcome. Nice quiet room, good facilities, comfortable bed a excellent wifi. Pub and food very nice and the breakfast excellent quality. Easy walk into town as well.
friendly and welcoming , as a solo traveller nice to be welcomed Great food, lovely staff and very accommodating owners! Thank you
Staff were helpfull when arriving and needing to book in early,,,,good nites sleep and lovely breakfast
Great breakfast, friendly service and quiet location.
Having dinner with the bar music and sounds of the slot machines.
The place was incredibly clean compared with a lot of 5* hotels I've stayed in. The staff were very friendly which is important when you are travelling alone. The menu was basic pub food, good all the same, but breakfast was fab.
It would be nicer to have had a hairdryer in the room instead of having to ask for it. If that is the only fault, they are not doing too badly.
A very large well furnished room with a King size bed, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. A smart spotless bathroom with a shower and well lit mirror. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. It was the old farmhouse, now in the middle of an ordinary housing estate. All no through roads so very quiet. How often do you have the front door key to a PH, just in case you are late back. If you are a group here is a pool table and a full size skittle alley
Plenty of light fittings but all fitted with half a candle power energy saving bulbs. Difficult to read by.
Enormous bed, very comfortable. The food was exceptional, and a varied menu available. Location ideal for what we needed.
The room was cold, radiators did not come on for long, and only early in the morning. An electric heater was provided but produced a very dry heat.
Big bedroom and bed and it was comfortable.Convenient to have meals good value food helpful staff.
Felt a bit under pressure while at breakfast as manager stood to close to us perhaps over attentive also felt rushed into choosing cooked breakfast would have prefered a menu to choose from.
We had a lovely evening meal . Rooms were very comfortable clean and welcoming. A lovely quiet location
Easy access and quiet area good wholesome food. Good comforable bed.
our bathroom needed some attentioin, mould on tiles, cold tap almost impossible to turn off fully. Petty details I know but you did ask.
Close to where I had to be. Quiet Comfortable warm bed Good TV in room
Shower pressure was vv strong in room 1. Could have took skin off!!
We booked the four poster room for two nights bed and breakfast, the room is very spacious and very clean, the breakfast is also very good.
This was the second time we had stayed at this b&b,the first time being two years previous,,the only thing I can say that wasn't great about it second time round was the four poster bed,it needs a new matress(you roll into the middle)we didn't sleep very well at all,,needs looking into!!
The overall comfort and reception
The shower in the bath
Food really good Evening meal excellent value
Bed really uncomfortable En-suite really poor poor welcome
Food excellent, staff very pleasant. Lovely place, just not the easiest to find
Room was in need of some TLC, shower head needed unblocking, toilet door wouldn't shut properly, you get the picture. Shame really as everyhing else was good
