Friendly hotel, my room was spacious. Food was good and generous portions. Wifi in room was not good, a common problem with country hotels.

My stay at the Heathfield inn was a pleasant surprise, the room was wonderful and the four poster bed was sooo comfortable. The food was very good but best of all was the bar which was full of very friendly locals from honiton.I Would recommend my stay to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming place to stay. The sausages were poor, but I am nitpicking as the breakfast was very good and the bacon was butchers quality.

Very friendly staff. Very clean accommodation. Excellent location for nearby beaches. In the middle of a housing estate, which was very quiet.

The welcome, the service, the food, which was not only really tasty, but well served and certainly not expensive, despite having a good choice. Our Room (2) was really large, and well appointed, with character. We liked the walk into and around Honiton, which has some nice independent shopping. The hotel manager, Carlos, could not have been more helpful. It was a bit off-putting to arrive in the middle of a modern housing estate, however, once inside, this really did not matter at all.

I received a very warm welcome having arrived quite late in the evening. Although it was after 9pm, I was still able to order food which was fresh and tasty. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable with all the usual facilities you would expect for a more expensive hotel. I travel a lot for business and have stayed in many hotels but so far this one was the most pleasant and also the best value for money. The only downside was that the curtains were rather thin so did not block all of the outside lighting.

Staff were friendly, lovely old building, evening meals were plentiful if not too large, don't have a starter unless you have a VERY large appetite. Good vegetarian options for evening meal. Internet didnt work in bedroom, no fruit or yogurt at breakfast. Open fires not lit in evening even though it was a very cold night (snow) no atmosphere in bar or restaurant, but this may have been due to the few people staying. The Heathfield is not close to Honiton town, we choseISP we could eat in Honiton and not have to use car, after walking around Honiton we decided to eat at the Heathfield as Honiton was pretty dead. The visitors notes in room was poor, just two pages, very little information. The hotel needs some money spent doing it up. It could be very much improved.

The room was clean & had everything I required. The en suite was also clean, with a good shower over a bath tub with plenty of supplied shower gel, shampoo & hand washing liquid. I ate in the bar & was delighted with the quantity & quality of the food presented in a speedy and welcoming manner, the breakfast was of the same standard. I cannot understand the derogatory comments regarding the hotels location, the housing estate refered too is a private one with no signs of vandalism & their certainly was no noise at night. I for one will definitely stay there again when next in the area.

Pleasant and attentive staff, reasonable food The state of my bathroom was inexcusable, had I not unpacked already, I would have asked to be moved, had there been other rooms available !
