I think that they should not only provide one big towel for each guest but also a small towel that could be used for washing hands, face, etc. A small towel is always practical to have, and I was a bit disappointed that they only had a big one for me.
I also think that they should keep a bathroom mat in the shared bathroom at all times, because when I wanted to leave the bathtub I had to be careful to not slip and fall, and not providing a bathroom mat could be dangerous (and also unsanitary) for guests.
I was disappointed to know that they did not have breakfast like they said they had online, which was a bit of an inconvenience because I didn't have any food with me and had to wait to have breakfast until I was at the airport. Therefore, I suggest they remove any information regarding breakfast.
The location is great since it's only a 10 minute (and free!) bus ride from Heathrow airport to the lodge, and it is located in a very quiet area, which is always great.
The room was big, spacious, and very clean and tidy to my surprise.
The bed was very comfortable and I like the fact that the guests' room include a sink.
The shared bathroom is very clean as well, which is very important since it is used by different guests.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I like the fact that they provide a free shuttle to the airport at different times during the day, which was very practical for me since I had an early flight and they were kind enough to drive me at 7.30am to the airport (and they even have an earlier shuttle at 6.45). It would be nice to tip the driver (not that he would expect to be tipped, but it would just be a nice gesture!). :)
They don't provide breakfasts nor lunch, but you can always order food online, or better yet head to the White Horse pub that's only a 2 minute walk from Heathrow Lodge. The pub exists since the year 1601 (how cool is that?) and they have amazing food (try their haddock with batter, it's fantastic. Their burgers are great too, and huge!). They serve breakfast food as well.
The price is not bad at all, considering there are other places in London that are actually bad and that charge a lot more (35 pound is quite alright, which is what I paid for).
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Heathrow Lodge and I would recommend anyone who would like to stay close to the airport for a good price. :)
