Hedgefield House is a beautiful country house full of character. The room was cleaned to a very high standard. Facilities were excellent and the staff friendly and polite. The grounds surrounding the house were amazing.full of wildlife. There wasn;t a single thing we didn;t like about the Hedgefiled House.

Staff are friendly and efficient without being intrusive. The room was lovely and I had an unexpected four poster bed. Breakfast was varied and fresh and fantastic value for money. The grounds are beautiful and overall the place is very well kept. I couldn't get the electric shower to offer more than a very light shower and adjusting the temperature made it run either scalding or freezing. The breakfast was great but I missed the option of a full English breakfast.

The hotel was everything it claimed to be. Good room, nice and quiet, attentive staff overall very good. Breakfast was adequate but could have been a bit more interesting although I appreciate it was a continental breakfast.

Superb 4 poster room, I only wish my wife was with me on this trip. The room needs a hair dryer and the bathroom although massive was on the cool side.

The owner was very polite and happy to help. We were upgraded free of charge to a lovely room and it was a most plesant stay. Reasonable price and lovely sourounding area but still close enough to the city center would stay again.

The fact that I cannot complain in this review about the inadequate sound- proofing of my room (Annex Room 6). The tv next door could be clearly heard, disturbing my sleep late at night and early next morning.

The room was very pleasant with a nice big bathroom. The breakfasts were not nice. It was cereal or cereal bars or biscuits, with a fruit bowl which just had bananas, apples and oranges. It would have been better to have melon, prunes, strawberries or apricots which are more appropriate for breakfast. i asked if I could buy some tomatoes to have on toast for my third morning, and he refused, saying they don't do anything cooked. I believe if a guest asks for something reasonable you should go out of your way to provide; won't go there again.

Staff were excellent and very accomodating. My bed was very comfortable 2 small things:1) the pressures of the showers in the annex made it difficult to have a consist shower temp if others were using other showers; 2) Although breakfast was good, I would have liked the option of a cooked breakfast,

Nice garden setting. Good easy parking well off the road. Free wi-fi works well. Good choices for the continental style breakfast. Hosts were courteous and unobtrusive. Seems to be a favourite with Hadrian's Wall walkers. The walls in the bedrooms are very thin, so you hear everything going on next door.

The bath in the room was really big, views were beautiful and the breakfast was very filling and good value, despite it being continental. The bed was hard, uncomfortable and not long enough.

This is a lovely old house that is being slowly brought back to its original state. We chose the four poster room and was very comfortable and large. The grounds were very well maintained and nice.
