Good location if you don't want to be right in the centre of Cambridge. Staff very attentive.
Cleanliness; helpfulness of staff
Wi-Fi not very efficient ('The Cloud"); Safe Deposit Box had no battery and so not working but not worth troubling reception when we were only staying one night
Close to bus-stops Close to hospital Clean and spacious rooms
The hotel is within walking distance of the centre of town. Regular bus services stop right outside if you don't want to walk. Rooms are comfortable, do let staff know if stairs are a problem. .. Breakfast buffet very good, waiting staff are impeccably polite. All in all a good choice.
The doors squeak quite loudly are difficult to close without making lots of noise. Light sleepers might find this annoying.
Great helpful staff, even allowed us access to kitchen for some breakfast when we had to leave early, perfect position for us near rail and walk to town centre.
Beds not perfect.
Location- 10 mins walk from rail station and the Duxford shuttle bus.
Decor perhaps a little dated but it did the job. Broken over-bed light fitting in my room.
Decent value and convenient location (10 mins walk from the station, plenty of buses to the city centre).
Traffic noise from the main road in the rooms at the front.
- The little Victorian house itself. - The included English breakfast. - Room was decorated with taste. - Staff was helpful.
- Nothing really...
Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy bed. Wont hesitate to stay again.
Everywhere in hotel was clean, hardly any sign of end of season shabbiness. Staff were good, and when we asked for a bath safety mat, it was in the room when we returned. Breakfast was well cooked, with plenty of choice of extras. Bus service every ten minutes to station and city centre. Would certainly go again.
Nothing! Only suggestion I would make is an extra shelf in bathroom. We stayed four nights and had a few extra bits and pieces than for a one or two night stop. Could also do with a more convenient socket for the kettle. However, these were only very minor points.
The welcome and assistance offered by the manageress upon arrival was so welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and good speeds with the wifi. The breakfast dining room is so well laid out and quaint and breakfast menu lovely. The overall value for accom was excellent.
Bathroom is a little small but at the price is totally acceptable.
Breakfast was excellent
Room was small and dark Pillows were poor Reception staff very unwelcoming. Might as well have been an alien for the welcome you get
Pleasant staff,comfortable room.somewhere to leave pushbikes.Good breakfast.
Could do with a couple of towel rails.Bit pricey for my budget but I suspect that's because of the location.
Small room V basic bathroom
all staff very friendly, especially those at breakfast-could not have been more helpful!
Very good breakfast, just a 8 minute bus ride into Cambridge. Very clean and beds comfortable.
Free breakfast, TV and wi-fi.
Double room very small to walk around. Shower very tiny and opens awkwardly. Door to toilet hits the bed. Radiator only goes to one setting of very hot. Can hear water works and noise in morning. Very far from Cambridge City center. Duvey was a a thin blanket for two of us.
receptionist from Poland was very nice And helpful.Machte mir sogar einen Grog weil ich etwas kränklich war.
beds were hard and not comfy.Hotel rather old fashioned but good value for money.
- tiny bathroom/toilet - shower head filthy/bath tiles need cleaning - old carpet, uncleaned/hovered
The breakfast was very poor. Not much choice at all which was very disappointing.
I would recommend this hotel for a short stay. A small hotel with friendly staff and convenient location. The Leisure centre near by is convenient for a lunch, dinner or fun with children.
Nothing really. Achieved our expectations based on the hotel details advertised on their website.
Large room, quiet and clean
The outside doesn't do the inside justice!
The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was comfortable and adequate for my visit, the bus stop was almost outside so convenient to town center and the breakfast was lovely
The decor was dated and there was a huge air conditioning unit in room that took up valuable space which could have had stand for suitcase
Our room had a view of the garden--so quiet, and it was far better than more expensive hotels we have stayed at.Great bathroom--whole room great extras--and such a comfy bed.Staff superb, and parking so easy.
Good firm bed, quiet, good breakfast.
Room a bit stuffy
