Central Cambridge location, comfy bed, jovial staff.
Very very noisy. I was there for three nights, and for two of those I had to get out of bed and go and ask people to be quiet. The second time I couldn't find the night porter to go and ask a noisy room to hush up (12:30 at night). First time it was the night porter playing video games. I certainly wouldn't go back there.
Very pleasant staff. Comfy bed. Spotless bathroom. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money.
Lovely breakfast and friendly staff
We slept with the window open due to the warm weather. However, the traffic noise from the Main Street kept us awake the first night (the hospital is on the same road). Second night we bought earplugs!
within walking distance from the rail station, breakfast is nice.
the staff is not helpful. and the luggage is unattended put by the stairs.
Very friendly staff and food for money's worth.
Well located for Cambridge railway station. Pleasant room, excellent breakfast and polite staff.
convenient location, good price
Good location if you don't want to be right in the centre of Cambridge. Staff very attentive.
Cleanliness; helpfulness of staff
Wi-Fi not very efficient ('The Cloud"); Safe Deposit Box had no battery and so not working but not worth troubling reception when we were only staying one night
Close to bus-stops Close to hospital Clean and spacious rooms
The hotel is within walking distance of the centre of town. Regular bus services stop right outside if you don't want to walk. Rooms are comfortable, do let staff know if stairs are a problem. .. Breakfast buffet very good, waiting staff are impeccably polite. All in all a good choice.
The doors squeak quite loudly are difficult to close without making lots of noise. Light sleepers might find this annoying.
Good size room and ensuite bathroom. Tasty fried breakfast although not many healthy options.
A bit dated decor and room door had obviously been smashed in at some point (although repaired so that it still closed properly).
Great helpful staff, even allowed us access to kitchen for some breakfast when we had to leave early, perfect position for us near rail and walk to town centre.
Beds not perfect.
Location- 10 mins walk from rail station and the Duxford shuttle bus.
Decor perhaps a little dated but it did the job. Broken over-bed light fitting in my room.
Decent value and convenient location (10 mins walk from the station, plenty of buses to the city centre).
Traffic noise from the main road in the rooms at the front.
- The little Victorian house itself. - The included English breakfast. - Room was decorated with taste. - Staff was helpful.
- Nothing really...
Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy bed. Wont hesitate to stay again.
Everywhere in hotel was clean, hardly any sign of end of season shabbiness. Staff were good, and when we asked for a bath safety mat, it was in the room when we returned. Breakfast was well cooked, with plenty of choice of extras. Bus service every ten minutes to station and city centre. Would certainly go again.
Nothing! Only suggestion I would make is an extra shelf in bathroom. We stayed four nights and had a few extra bits and pieces than for a one or two night stop. Could also do with a more convenient socket for the kettle. However, these were only very minor points.
The location was ideal for us close to centre but not too close so not disturbed by Saturday night revellers. Good amenities nearby if you don't want to head to the centre.
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Plenty of staff but not really keeping an eye on when things were needing to be replenished and not listening when orders placed so wrong things brought out.
The welcome and assistance offered by the manageress upon arrival was so welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and good speeds with the wifi. The breakfast dining room is so well laid out and quaint and breakfast menu lovely. The overall value for accom was excellent.
Bathroom is a little small but at the price is totally acceptable.
Breakfast was excellent
Room was small and dark Pillows were poor Reception staff very unwelcoming. Might as well have been an alien for the welcome you get
Pleasant staff,comfortable room.somewhere to leave pushbikes.Good breakfast.
Could do with a couple of towel rails.Bit pricey for my budget but I suspect that's because of the location.
Small room V basic bathroom
