1. No adjustable heating facilities. 2. Wifi very erratic.
Friendly staff. Rooms average and spacious but paid extra for executive room. Nice garden area. Breakfast, nice but seems to be reheated food.
Could do with an update, stains on carpet and bathroom facility was basic.
Hotel is good.
Standard of food is poor. Evening meal arrived cold & had to be sent back. Did not experience breakfast.
The food and Drink was expensive
the jaccuzzi and sauna facilities out of this world and enjoyed a comfortable relaxing atmosphere nice weekend
the fact breakfast was not included even though it might av been a bit extra otherwise I did find it expensive 4 a breakfast
Great facilities for a reasonable price. Very helpful staff !
The bedroom was a bit tired and the TV system is a bit basic
First I would like to explain the purpose of our visit. Me and my husband only live 15 miles away and did not need to stay in Rotherham but I am 8 months pregnant with twins and needed a break from home (having just decorated) and a good night sleep. The check in was quick and easy and the reception staff were very polite and explained where everything was. The use of the pool and spa were great, we had a good afternoon just relaxing in there. The room was exactly what you would expect for the price although there was some mould around the bath tub which would take 2 seconds to clean. All in all an OK hotel for what you pay.
Some random one off's that could have been dealt with better - We were woken up at 1.30am by the fire alarm which continued to go on and off 5 times with gaps of 3-5 mins in between. We were never called or visited by a staff member to reassure us that it was a false alarm. Then due to being in a room where the windows were facing the reception court yard, we were kept awake by the other guests from the wedding/party that had taken place, while they waited for their taxi's. They were extremely loud and boisterous and were never asked to keep it down by staff once. If this is not something staff do, then they should place other guests like ourselves away from that side of the hotel. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was having a bath in the room as we only have a shower in our new house and I have been pining for one since we moved. However even though I brought bubble bath and candles the bath was far to small and only filled half way due to the drainage. This wasn't a huge problem, just something I had looked forward to. Having complained about the noise at night, we were just told that we can speak to a manager if we want and offered no solutions. On check out, a room service charge had been added to our bill after my husband had asked reception where to find the bar for a glass of ice for me and been told someone will bring some up to the room (but never said it would cost us). Breakfast charge was also added even though no one had asked us if we wanted breakfast or if we had eaten any (we hadn't). In fact, we didn't even know they did breakfast until then.
Staff polite and worked really hard Reception staff excellent
Understaffed Service slow Breakfast not the best Price for room not including breakfast
Decoration is tired and dated Wine over-priced (nearly £26 for a bottle of house white) No air-con
Great location for travelling, an issue with dishes that that were unavailable on the limited dinner menu was taken seriously and quickly resolved. Good pool and nice gardens.Would definitely stay there again.
Beam position in bedroom meant that in some areas headroom was limited
Bar meal was delicious. Excellent gym/pool facilities.
Big bed Nice decor Friendly receptionist
Room not actually in the hall Breakfast £12 pp No music channel
The picture on the website And the biscuit in the room was ok
The breakfast was cold The bath panel needs replacing The door frame of the main door to are room (room19)looks like it has been kick in The room could do with a refresh ie a lick of paint Wifi was very poor The dinning room staff could not handle the amount of people My wife ask for a fried egg and was still waiting after I had finished
The food was excellent The staff were polite and cheerfully but seemed to be inexperienced
Room lighting was very poor, mirror was cracked at least 3 mistakes in the final bill which they admitted and rectified. No print out of the bill was possible as their printer was out of service
Had a great weekend
Do not do massages on Sundays
The sports facilities are first class, the staff very helpful and the room spacious. Would recommend
My wife and kids loved it
I did not go, so cannot comment
Nice room, good location and gardens.
No wifi in room, food average.
Good room size.
The room was advertised as an executive room but apart from it being a decent size there was nothing executive about it, The furniture was tired and scruffy. The desk, magazines etc were dusty and the carpet needed a good hoover - it was dusty too! There was an awful stain on the base of the bed and the bedding was bobbly. The room smelled, It must have been an old smoking room? We were only given one towel? We couldn't stay over, we just wanted to be at home so we used the room to get changed in because we were attending a wedding reception and then we left. Nathan the duty manager let me have the room for £55 but i really shouldn't have had to pay anything. I didn't want to spoil my friends wedding so I didn't make a fuss but we were totally dissatisfied. Not only are the rooms in serious need of a refresh but so are the lifts and corridors. It really isn't a pleasant place.
we loved the tranquillity and the staff were polite and helpful, the room service was great, breakfast was lovely and well presented, you helped yourself so could eat at your own leisure, the ladies in the spa were really lovely and my daughter and I will be making another visit for sure
the bath and toilet were small!! I am not a big lady but could not lie down and soak in the bath and the wifi in the room worked only intermittently but worked fine everywhere else
The layout of the hotel meant that to get to our room was like an expedition.
No wifi in room
the room was very comfortable.
The service in the resteraunt during our evening meal was appauling we had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to take our order, and then over 30 minutes for someone to take our order for our desert.
nice Pool area, Clean and Warm Pool
Very Poor Wi Fi Service, Needs improving signal
