The welcome we received from a great chap on reception, to the friendly staff throughout. The comfort of our room and the cleanliness. Certain parts look tired but a great stay.
The lack of signs tellung you where to go as there are many stairs and corridors.
The free wifi is excellent. The room was big and everything was clean and tidy. The staff I encountered were all nice. Breakfast was really good and fresh. Big car park!
It's so remote! The rooms are dated and it's expensive considering what you get. £78 for a night didn't feel like that sort of hotel.
Room too hot
The bed was comfortable The staff were friendly and accommodating
The location of the hotel was in the middle of nowhere The parking was cramped For dropping off there was no where to pull in
nice room and comfy bedding. Great breaky
The rooms and the public areas of hotel are very nice, and views over lakes are fantastic, room was clean tidy and decorated in good taste, hotel was peaceful and a lovely getaway
The hotel restaurant was quite understaffed and waited a while for service, and not much choice on menu, drinks were expensive bar including £3.90 for a can of redbull. And no cash machine in hotel at all, has to travel to nearest shop.
Staff excellant arrived at 12.15 at night , all orgainesed for my arrival.
Nice Stay, room was of a good size and clean & tidy, only had a sandwich during the day which was fine, staff were all ok. Nothing outstanding but pretty good
Its a little bit in the middle of nowhere but that might be a positive for some people!
The room was lovely and the en-suite was really nice. Breakfasts were very good. Could not fault the staff.
The terrace restaurant was closed on the first night, dinning room was too formal, tv lounge table and chairs too low to eat.Ate first night in tv lounge but decided to eat out on other nights in case terrace restaurant was closed again, same because we wanted to eat in hotel , relax and enjoy the lovely view. Only enjoyed the views at breakfast and the car park.
Exception route to silver stone
Dated rooms Spa tired looking Food basic
The Staff were good..ish, The bed was comfortable, The wifi worked,
2 sandwiches a bit of Tasteless salad and crisps on our plates & beer and a cider. The crisps are advertised as chips. £24.00 I thought i was in London. The hotel room was sweltering hot even though the day and evening was cool, we had to wedge the door open with a chair, there was a tower fan in the room but it wobbled about creaked and rattled.. very insufficient. If you need to cab to another venue like we did for a wedding and you order a cab be warned it cost us £15 for a 4 mile journey,, if we had been told in advance i wouldve driven myself. Overall.. we found the hotel to be pretentious overpriced and disappointing.
Good location for Sitverstone race track.
The people, the food, the location and the promise of a similar warm welcome in the future.
Speedy and efficient check in Large clean room
Expensive bar meals
The dog actually smiled every time he saw the lady on reception who went the extra mile to welcome every time he entered reception. Nelson was disappointed when the lady wasn't on shift Monday morning when checking out!! Thank you for making him feel so welcome, more hotels should take a leaf out of your book:))
The room was a sauna, no air despite windows being open, think it was the location backing onto a courtyard near the wall as there was no breeze at all and with the kitchens underneath, the heat was a bit too much and the fan didn't help I'm afraid. Not one to moan but it was too much and not warm outside. As you entered the corridor it seemed to become much cooler towards the other end of the hotel, recommend avoiding room 126 for this reason, heat too much.
-Scenery -Spacious rooms
-Apparent link between hotel and unmetered Taxi firm -No toilet brush - poor advice regarding travelling to & from local restaurants
staff very helpful and friendly.good breakfast. Had a bar meal in the evening. Food was excellent. We were given vouchers for strawberries and cream. They were delicious.
It took us over an hour to find the hotel even with the help of the sat-nav. sign posts took us round in circles. very busy in the dining room.Too many golfers. Gardens very neglected does not give a very good first impression.
Friendly and helpful staff, great priced accommodation. Would recommend. Great, reliable wi-fi :)
Rooms could have been cleaner. It lacked facilities/ a play area for small children.
This hotel has a fantastic location in beautiful grounds. The staff are very friendly and the food in the restaurant very good. Good choice at breakfast.
The fitness equipment was rusty and worn and needs upgrading, not good enough for a 4 star spa hotel. Drink selection at the bar needs to be improved, no cocktail menu and the staff were unable to make a kir royale. Although the food was very good in the restaurant, when it eventually arrived, the restaurant was understaffed with the few staff serving very hassled.
the view onto golf course
cracked basin in bathroom, mould round shower screen and on tiling grout.not value for money.expected a much better hotel
The food was excellent. The staff were friendly.
Victoria was very friendly & attentive
position was nice and rural, ideal for quiet break, staff were very efficient and friendly and breakfast was excellent
Pool area needs badly updating, I am not a old fuddy duddy by any means but the continual blast of music until early morning and the room was overlooking waste bin area, surely if staff knew there was a party on, rooms should have been allocated to the party people, not the Silverstone visitors whom were starting off early morning, and were treated too an early breakfast, thank you,
We used the Hellidon Lakes as a base while attending the British Grand Prix. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, the restaurant not only had a great view the food was good too!
Fellow guests being noisy after midnight.
I loved the location with superb views and our group enjoyed our stay.
The drinks were not badly priced but the mixers, coke and lemonade were to dear.
