This was such a lovely place that seemed more like a private home. Service was courteous and attentive, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The garden was lovely. I will stay at the Henbury Lodge Hotel whenever I'm in Bristol.

Excellent location between the M5 and city centre in a charming suburb full of character. The hotel has been well renovated without losing its Georgian features. Comfy beds, soft towels and good breakfast with free parking and free Wi-Fi too.

Having used Henbury Lodge for Christenings and Wakes in the past 20 years it was good to see it had been updated and had a new restaurant. It was very conveniently situated for visiting friends in the area and felt more personal than previous chain hotels in which we have stayed. A peaceful haven in the middle of the City. Breakfast was generally good but the cooked breakfast disappointing. They had no kippers (on a Saturday morning) and none of us liked what the eggs and bacon had been cooked in. Too oily.

I had an enjoyable stay at Henbury Lodge. Beautiful acommodation and location. Very pleasant and friendly staff who were particularly helpful when I required additional nights stay; so my stay was actually four nights instead of two. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the food was delicious! I'm currently a frequent visitor to the area and shall definitely be staying again. It wasn't clear that I had booked an en-suite shower room only. I actually required an ensuite bathroom and shower, but not enough to complain or ask to move rooms.

We liked our room, although the lighting could have been a little better. We liked the fact that it was closeby to where our daughter lived and it was very convenient.

It was away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol, but only a30 min bus ride away-bus stop directly opposite hotel. We asked for a quiet room and got room 7 which was in a corridor on its own. Staff friendly.Shops/restaurant nearby.

Our double room was enormous with double and single bed and plenty of seats which doesn't always happen. Our daughters' room had a lovely modern bathroom with the best shower ever. Breakfast was very expensive for 4 of us. I prepaid for this as it wasn't clear on the website that you could decide when at the hotel which breakfast you required. £9.95 for toast and croissant seemed too expensive.

Lovely old building. Clean, comfortable room. Lovely comfy bed. New, modern shower room. Good food and friendly staff. Nice front window view over the church and manor house from the second floor. Good quality hd tv. Convenient parking. I would be happy to stay here again. No double glazing meant I was aware of traffic noise in the early evening but slept well due to ear plugs! Shower room had strong down lights which came on with a sensor when you entered the room, so couldn't go to the loo in the dark in the night.(This would have been a disaster if I'd been sharing the room with my husband; there needs to be a way to switch these off). The door rattled whenever someone closed their door on my landing, so I put a sock in it, which solved the problem.
