I found this hotel through Tripadvisor. It is an excellent, reasonably priced hotel. We had two separate one night stays. Both rooms we stayed in were spacious and comfortable. No 2 was a double with a coal effect gas fierplace which is a nice touch but we did not use. The bathroom had a luxurious ambience and there was a very large flat screen TV. No 9 was a very large triple room with a double and a single. Altough very comfortable it was not as luxuriously appointed as No 2 and was at the top of the house. Staff could not have been nicer. I took ill suddenly with a high temperature just before arrival on the afternoon of our second stay. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and sourced some medication for me.

Great staff, friendly, pro actively helpful, and nothing was ever too much. The hotel its self, spotless. We will be going back. A small issue, the wifi signal in the hotel could benefit from some boosters.

The hotel is quite good, staff are friendly and helpful. They are by far the best asset this hotel has.. The food in the restaurant was excellent....A very good 'blue' steak! We stayed in the annex, which I presume were converted stables. Whilst the room was adequate, if you were hoping for a relaxing, peaceful stay. This is not the place. The party in the room above us were like a 'herd of elephants' and probably deaf, as we could not comfortably hear our television over theirs, and their constant banging and crashing was more than annoying to say the least. However the actual hotel was nice.

Good stop over hotel with very good staff and a freshly cooked english breakfast. Room in annexe clean and comfortable if a little small. Could have done with a chest of drawers. Automatic light off switch in bathroom a bit off putting.

Our room was quiet an comfortable with good amenities. The breakfast was excellent homemade marmalade, jam, and delicious homemade lemon curd, homemade yogurt too. Service was friendly and efficient. We only spent one night whilst visiting relatives in the area, but will definitely book this hotel again.

Very comfortable and extremely clean. The food was just lovely (though rather expensive). One night there were people making that much noise in the corridor that they woke me up, but that has nothing to do with the hotel, except maybe the doors being rather thin...

This is a small hotel and hence there is not a range of facilites and parts appear a little dated. However, II stayed in room 3, which was large, clean and very comfortable. The staff were extremley friendly and helpful; the real star of this hotel is the food which was exceptional and unexpected. Would highly recommend.

This is a really lovely hotel with a warm welcome and a can do attitude so often lacking. We arrived after a night flight from the us and drive from London and really needed somewhere to crash. The owner (Ros) couldn't have been more helpful in finding the right room for us (my wife in disabled and finds stairs a challenge) and was happy to let us check in early so we could sleep at last. We were in a newly converted room which though small was well thought out and had an stunning bathroom. My sense is that this has been a labour of love over the past 3 years and is still not yet completed but there is a lot of style for what has been done. The breakfast was excellent for anyone who really savors a proper english cooked breakfast. Great sausages, and really well cooked black pudding. We didn't eat at the restaurant but if it has the same chef as breakfast this is likely to be good. This is very close to the major shopping malls at Cribbs Causeway and with easy access to the M5 and a mere fifteen minutes to Clifton and Bristol Centre

I had an enjoyable stay at Henbury Lodge. Beautiful acommodation and location. Very pleasant and friendly staff who were particularly helpful when I required additional nights stay; so my stay was actually four nights instead of two. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the food was delicious! I'm currently a frequent visitor to the area and shall definitely be staying again. It wasn't clear that I had booked an en-suite shower room only. I actually required an ensuite bathroom and shower, but not enough to complain or ask to move rooms.

We liked our room, although the lighting could have been a little better. We liked the fact that it was closeby to where our daughter lived and it was very convenient.

It was away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol, but only a30 min bus ride away-bus stop directly opposite hotel. We asked for a quiet room and got room 7 which was in a corridor on its own. Staff friendly.Shops/restaurant nearby.

Our double room was enormous with double and single bed and plenty of seats which doesn't always happen. Our daughters' room had a lovely modern bathroom with the best shower ever. Breakfast was very expensive for 4 of us. I prepaid for this as it wasn't clear on the website that you could decide when at the hotel which breakfast you required. £9.95 for toast and croissant seemed too expensive.

Lovely old building. Clean, comfortable room. Lovely comfy bed. New, modern shower room. Good food and friendly staff. Nice front window view over the church and manor house from the second floor. Good quality hd tv. Convenient parking. I would be happy to stay here again. No double glazing meant I was aware of traffic noise in the early evening but slept well due to ear plugs! Shower room had strong down lights which came on with a sensor when you entered the room, so couldn't go to the loo in the dark in the night.(This would have been a disaster if I'd been sharing the room with my husband; there needs to be a way to switch these off). The door rattled whenever someone closed their door on my landing, so I put a sock in it, which solved the problem.
