Convenience of motorway to get to and from home, no traffic to contend with. Quality and quietness
Reception area expected a more traditional feel, huge Xmas tree! And more of an immediate recognition would be nice
The hotel is ecellent, even though I was a single traveller I had a double which was great. The breakfasts are delicious
The food in the restaurant was I thought very expensive at £30 for a 2 course meal. I eat in the bar and the food wasn't very good at all.
Bed was too soft you rolled towards the middle.
Nothing - apart from OTT bar food prices.
Overall experience was fab!!! Look forward to next visit
History of the building through the photographs displayed. Links with 1966. Reception staff. Transport provided to tube station. Pleasing quality of meals.
Not all waiters of the required quality. We were left sitting unattended for too long on more than one occasion.
All was good
Upon checking out felt embarrassed when told I had not paid. On arrival has paid in cash to staff but they for some reason failed to record. Was asked for payment and told I had not paid in front reception
Very helpful staff ,free shuttle to and from the underground station .
We had a truly wonderful stay at Hendon Hall, my wife claims that they serve the best breakfast she's every had. She's also raving about the underfloor heating and the fact that they use natural products in their toiletries which, is most unusual for a hotel.
We had an upgrade as the room booked and confirmed via e mail was not availiable we were pleased with the room we Were given mini bus service and staff Exelent
Nothing to dislike apart from mix up with room booking all sorted to our satisfaction girls on reception very helpfull all staff great
Friendliness of Staff
Food and drinks expensive
RECEPTION RESTAURANT BED NICE OLD HOTEL NICE GARDEN PARKING
SERVICE AT THE BAR ROOM WINDOW TO GARBIDGE
Ordered smoked haddock and eggs for breakfast. The fish was raw and icy cold in the middle. I was offered something else and had 2 poached eggs - one cold and one warm. On checking out was offered refund on breakfast but chef needs to up his game. I stay at the hotel regularly and breakfast has always been good before. Disappointing!
Beautiful, clean room. Nice bed. Good access to internet. Friendly staff. Shuttle ride to tube station.
Breakfast was poor. Arrived late and cold. Waiting 20 mins to be seated, 45 min wait for order to arrive and it was cold. Hotel is situated a long way from the nearest tube - shuttle ride stops after 8pm.
The very helpful staff and excellent food choice
Building and gardens
Language problem with bar staff
Historic building Big rooms Fantastic breakfast Free Shuttle bus
Beds far too soft Very slow check in and out - 20 plus minutes No indication of free Wi-Fi
Free car parking and was relatively close to where I wanted to be. The breakfast was good.
There was brown marks all over the bathroom floor, door, walls and ceiling which nobody had attempted to clean up. Really made me cringe. It looked like fake tan but the hotel staff thought probably hair dye - can't believe the cleaner couldn't see it - would have expected a new room for the second night or at least a bottle of wine - but no - nothing - can only presume they get a lot of complaints and have developed thick skin. I used to stay here a lot about 3 years ago but hotel felt much more tired than it had on my last visit - which is a shame as it used to be a lovely place to stay.
Complimentary shuttle bus Friendly staff Comfy beds Excellent breakfast Free parking
I'd stay again if the rate is the same
We only stayed for one night, but it was lovely and comfortable and quiet, exactly what we needed.
strange procedures with card payments for drinking in a bar after 11:00 p.m.
Rooms were very comfortable and well stocked. Staff were helpful.
My room was above the kitchen which was very noisy until late.
The Chauffeur Eric was really helpful and friendly throughout our stay. he was very willing and happy to take us anywhere we wished to go. The room service was good and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms were equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
The walls between the rooms were quite thin which meant that we were woken between 3-4am each morning to the sound of a TV playing in another room. The breakfast service differed each day meaning we weren't quite sure on what we were to do. we doidn't know if we should wait to be served or whether we could take food and drink from the centre table. The breakfast's themselves were okay. However, they weren't the best and we have stayed in cheaper hotels where there has been more choice and they have been to a better standard. There was also a lack of communication between staff at breakfast and we had up to three trying to take our order.
