Breakfast to rival many luxury hotels Beautiful location and grounds Fast Wi-Fi and free! Molton Brown toiletries
Relaxed, felt really like student accommodation but cleaner. Good burger and lovely grounds
Very basic rooms, and run down corridors. Could do with a soft refurb
Efficient friendly staff. Comfortable spacious accomodation. Fantastic setting and views down to the Thames.
The gentleman who worked reception, Graham, was wonderfully helpful and friendly. The breakfast was absolutely fanstastic with beautiful views over the grounds and onto the river. While it would definitely have been preferable to walk into town, it's impossible along the dangerous road with no footpath, but there are buses which pass regularly for about a 5-minute drive in.
The lady at reception was negative, unhelpful, and unwelcoming; I found it shocking that someone so poor at PR managed the recpetion at a Business School lodging facility.
The main building was stunning. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, with lawns rolling down to the river. Lovely to sit and watch the boats on a summers evening. The staff, without exception, were friendly, welcoming and extremely professional. The food, especially the breakfast, was delicious, well cooked and reasonably priced. The bedroom was clean and very comfortable. The attention to detail was amazing for such reasonably priced accommodation. Equal to the best 5* hotels we have stayed in. Would definitely recommend.
It is a bit far from town, but that is the beauty of this location! So pretty and peaceful. Also, the fact that we only stayed one night! We will definitely come again, for longer next time!
The environment, the atmosphere and the quality of service. The staff were also very supportive and friendly.
Fantastic location, beautiful views and grounds. Comfy clean rooms. Lovely breakfast.
Hotel and location by the river. Gym facilities were great with helpful staff. Nice coffee lounges and meeting rooms. Superb breakfast very good staff. Value for money. On site security.
Accommodation block is a walk from the main building, however thoughtfully umbrellas are provided
Beautiful building fantastic location wonderfull grounds backing onto the Thames.really nice Buffett breakfast and friendly helpfull staff.will come here again.5stars
The room - large and comfy. Breakfast - great choice of hot and cold food. Excellent bar snacks in the evening. Great position on the Thames. Handy for Henley. Friendly staff.
Helpful staff Nice facilities
Shower is fine if you are under 6 feet.
Very near to Rewind festival Great price
Beautiful position, breakfast excellent, staff really helpful. Rooms clean and everything you need was there.
Noise from extractor in bathroom incredibly loud and next door had a shower at 1am which was very noisey
Facilities location staff helpful and breakfast !
No easy access on foot to Rewind Festival
Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast.
Isolated on busy road.
Spent a blissful afternoon in green fields grounds, they are very well kept from lawns to rockery. Tea and coffee facilities available all day along with the library and lounge to sit and watch the boats go by. Breakfast was equally amazing lots of choice, buffet style. We ended our visit by playing giant chess in the grounds before leaving. A really nice retreat without children.
Pleasant surroundings, reasonably priced, good parking, its out of term time student accomodation but the standard is similar to a budget hotel chain though the rooms are a bit smaller. Nice and clean, staff very nice
Bit in the middle of nowhere, Wifi was terrible, I had two devices and they had two networks and I still only managed to connect for 1 hour over a 2 day stay
Clean room, large shower, comfy large single bed and clean crisp linen. Lovely food.
Too many spiders and cobwebs on outside buildings, door entry, windows. Can't relax.
Staff were brilliant, Rooms were clean and comfortable, The grounds were amazing, Can't fault it. Will definatlly stay again and breakfast was delicious and plenty of it
The view from my bedroom was inspiring
Some of the catering arrangements like meal times were not ideal
- WIFI was good (not perfect) - The location is charming, right on the river Thames, close to a splendid hystorical mansion, inside a wonderful park - Well connected - Price is unbeatable - Excellent breakfast - Lots of free parking slots
- No restaurant at night - Room a bit too small (but probably fair for the price) - No air conditioning (or at least I did not find it) - The Gym closes too early IMHO (8 p.m.) so beware
There was nothing you could find fault with. The grounds on the riverside, where peace and quiet can be found are the icing on the cake.
A really good location with the river Thames at the bottom of the garden. Breakfast is buffet style and there was something to please everyone. I would certainly stay there again.
I found nothing to dislike.
The location and the view from my room.
-The location was beautiful as expected, plenty of security which was great (You have to go through electronic barriers to get through the property). The location is like something out of a book, its gorgeous with sheep and wild rabbits surrounding the outside houses external land. It was a very peaceful setting. -The tea tray was very good with a lovely selection of teas and biscuits. -The bathroom was very clean. I was disappointed I didn't have a bath, I had a shower though which was very clean. -The toilettes samples offered were excellent (Molton Brown) I bought these home for my holidays! The internet was very fast and the Satellite TV was excellent. -Car parking was excellent and in a CCTV patrolled environment. -Everything was very safe. -I didn't try the breakfast as I preferred to have a lie in instead on both days, but I thought it was excellent to include it in the price I paid per night for a solo traveler (55 pounds on offer). -There was a hairdryer and additional facilities in the room which I didn't use also as I bought my own. -The bedding and bed were extremely comfortable :) Also the towels were lovely and large.
-The traffic noise from the main road can be heard quite loudly in the rooms, despite not being very close to the road. So I had to close the window at night during summer. -The property was tired in places and needs painting. -The fan in my room didn't work, which would have been a nice touch in the summer.I had reported it faulty on the feedback form however before I left. So I was a little warm as I had to keep the window shut due to the occasional traffic (as I couldn't hear the TV). -The check out time is ridiculous at 9am- very disappointing! I had been looking forward to a lie in on my last day I had booked at the hotel (I had booked 2 days) but I had to leave on my second day at 9am. Receptionist said it was a 9am check out time, despite the fact that when I booked on here, it was 9.30am! My business meeting wasn't until 11am, so I was disappointed. I wouldn't have been happy paying 100 pounds per night (which is often the going rate). I happily paid just over half of this, which is what I feel it is worth per night for a single person. -I would stay here again but at a reduced rate.
