Dreadful. More like a 2* hostel than a 4*hotel. On the site it advertises the normal room cost as £400!! what a joke. I saw 4 rooms; all were tiny and more like a student hostel. Breakfast was appauling.Carpets threadbare; net curtains filthy. Think twice before staying here; much better genuine offers on the site than this one. |

The location I was put in a room beside the lift so there was constant noise and builders travelling to and from the roof created further noise. There was carrying out construction and assured me that this would not affect me, it did. |

Bathroom was recently renovated, new shiny marble surfaces and modern shower closet. Very reasonable price for being so close to Paddington Station. Floors very creaky, felt like they were going to break under me at any moment. Lift was also very unstable feeling. Room was very small, less than a foot on either side of the bed. Rail line practically right under the window, made a lot of noise. Would not recommend for someone who is sensitive to noise or who needs a lot of space. Still, it's a perfectly fine hotel for a great price if you have a less demanding backpacker style mentality. |

The breakfast was good and the staff helpful Difficult to see how this can be classed as a 4* hotel. Room and bathrom very small, no heating in the room, carpet threadbare, walls damaged, television didnt work .. etc etc |

I liked the staff who were very attentive. The first room we were given was damp and smelt of damp. The staff very kindly changed it. Also in the information given the hotel was said to hve been refurbished but clearly it had not been. |

The Pool. My 11yr son wanted to stay in a hotel with a swimming pool, which was very enjoyable. I found it disappointing as the carpet in reception, on the stairs needed re-joining, and the carpet in the resturant needs cleaning. Also noticed that the tea/coffee machines didn't appear to be wiped regular. (Personally I would only rate this hotel as a 3 star)! |

Interesting area of London, close to Hyde Park, which looks fabulous in the autumn. Loads of places to eat near to the two accessible tube stations: Queensway and Bayswater, as well as general stores if you need a few provisions. Staff friendly and coping well given the state of the hotel. Generally a tired hotel in need of refurbishment. Our room (101) was over a ground level part of the District tube line. After a while you get used to the trains every four minutes from 5.30am. The room was a little too snug (we had to move out of each others way a lot) and past it's sell by date, with worn carpets and peeling laminate on the bottom of the bathroom door. Interesting hot part of the beakfast buffet: Day 1: Scrambled eggs, beans, sausage (pretty normal). Day 2: Scrambled eggs, peas (?) and bacon. Day 3: Scrambled eggs, peas and beans. Day 4: Scrambled eggs, boiled rice (?) and fried mushrooms. Cold buffet adequate, but what's going on with the hot selection! Agree about the orange juice in another review - rubbish! |

The swimming pool and close to many of the main museums, Natural History etc. The rooms were not as shown on the internet, the double room was very small only, the bed was up against one wall and only about 1 foot to the next wall, so one person could not get out of bed. The bathroom was very small, not as shown on the internet. The TV was old, bad reception and only 4 channels which were not in order. The carpet was threadbare, patches of no carpet at all. The furniture was old, worn and shabby. Continual sound of trains on the underground making it diffcult to sleep. Poor service at breakfast, ran out of simple things like HP sauce/ketchup. Limited hot food (especially if vegatarian). Poor bar facilities, one draught beer which was not working, only flavoured sparkling water, no plain sparkling water. Poor. |

staff, breakfast room allocated (presumably due to rate) was very small - one foot around the double bed. Would have been unbearable in the summer heat - looks like aircon is being fitted but not completed yet. |

The Price through booking.com. The location was ideal. The room (2nd floor) was fine for the money - it was quite clean, reasonably modern in fitments, everything worked and noise from within the hotel was low. The old sash windows let in quite a lot of street noise. Typical of London hotels the room was quite small. I was worried about quality having read some very poor reviews about the hotel but my room was fine. |

The staff are pleasant and helpful and the location for central London is excellent. First impression of the hotel is good, but once in the rooms you can see the quality drops significantly. |

Staff were helpful and friendly. Wi-fi internet was available throughout the rooms. Very central and pleasant location. Breakfast was good on the first day but a little less on the other days. Rooms was smallish but I expected that as that is what i paid for. |
