Location and breakfast
Very unfriendly staff, breakfast staff treat you. Like you are iin prison camp and have to queue for your turn they check and than allow you to breakfast.
Bed was OK - firm Room was clean Plenty of hot water Pool was nice - but too small Good choices for continental breakfast
Pillows - too hard English cooked breakfast was terrible - to be avoided. Sauna was not hot enough Our room faced an air shaft and we could hear the underground train running - too noisy - not the relaxing stay we hoped for.
- good breakfast coffee and buffet choice - nice swimming pool space - nice location to visit London
- relatively tiny breakfast room in relation to the numbers of guests using it, it felt a bit overcrowded - my double room was just a twin with beds together: for a 3-starts hotel that could be Ok, but not for a 4-starts
Good range of choices at breakfast. Convenient quiet location for walks into Kensington Park nearby and onwards to the museum area. Small but warm pool
Staff were not very friendly especially the breakfast staffs bed was very hard, not enough pillows, breakfast food was very poor with no gluten free options despite being asked in advance
The facilities generally The breakfast
No carpet in the bedroom A flashing unit (air conditioning) that flashed all night- despite informing reception.
Room was tiny
Good value hotel with small but pleasant room (107). Bed very comfortable. Very clean despite age of property and in reasonable condition. Bathroom with bath/shower and, at least on 1st floor, strong water pressure. Good location for museums and west end. Basic but perfectly adequate continental breakfast. Positively surprised in the light of some negative comments. Would stay there again.
No double glazing. Wifi not really adequate but access to PC with printer near reception.
Location was good for me. Good pub across the road, that does good food.
Room was small and overbearingly hot. Breakfast was poor.
Clean Good Value Convenient Polite and friendly staff (mainly Spanish)
Pool closed (one reason for booking there) Room tired Scaffolding outside room Breakfast service understaffed (though doing best with limited resource)
We had an enjoyable stay due to the helpful and friendly staff! Choice of two Underground stations within 5 minute walk! Swimming pool a big bonus for tired limbs!
Friendly staff. Clean. Pool.
TV not working in room. Had to mend aerial. No hot water in shower. Hair dryer only worked for few seconds but staff did bring one straight to room when asked.
Very cooperative staff and helfull the breakfast is okay, the hotel location is good and 5 minutes walk to Queensway underground
The room furniture are old and must be changed Room is small
Pool and sauna facilities were ok.
Staff were not that helpful, 'double' bed was two singles that kept sliding apart, tv didn't work properly, decor extremely ugly - overall the hotel felt rather sad.
Despite reservation 3 months in advance no dbl room was available. The first night spent in two single rooms. No soap in the one, no towels on the third day, breakfast not ready at opening hours, paperwork more important than servicing waiting guests at the reception desk.
Very clean and lovely large room with good breakfast
The staff .. Brekfast is good
Absence holder Bags
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable.
Hotel very outdated. Breakfast very basic and a very poorly stocked bar. I don't think I would recommend this hotel definitely not 4 star amenities.
Location, that's it. Breakfast staff helpful too, doing what they can.
Small beds, noisy rooms. You can hear neighbours talk! No towels at pool. Common areas not clean and tidy. Bad service at reception, sometimes no one there. Queues for breakfast, when you come later for br it is a warzone! Do not stay here.
The courteous of the staff and the cleanliness of the room and facilities for the price paid were excellent.
Being charged extra for English breakfast but readily available to others that hadn't paid.
Great location Clean
All the staff spoke Spanish instead of English to each other when dealing with guest queries. It's poor etiquette and unprofessional to speak with others in a foreign language in front of someone when it's clear they don't understand the language. This occurred when asking something of staff from across the board: from the front reception, breakfast area, cleaners & pool. Having multi-lingual staff is a great asset, but I would've thought management would have a policy of encouraging staff to speak English in front of guests that are asking a question in English. The staff were helpful enough, but this kind of behaviour is not what you would expect at a 4 star hotel in an English speaking country.
The location was good as only 5mins walk to tube station. Staff friendly and room rate was good for London hotel.
The decor of the hotel was dated and looked tired. No mention of the scaffolding on front of building. The television in the room didn't work and more frustrating was the WiFi signal was too weak to get a signal so I couldn't do my work.
Location in London
- Staff did not give correct information about parking and got a parking amend. - Cheap and simple food - Hotel under renovation and very noisy - Cold in the lobby and hotel - The worst wi-fi connection ever...
