Staff, felt safe because of electronic entry system firstly to front door, then yet again past the restaurant into the actual hotel part.
Rackety old bed and dirty valance
Basic but clean accommodation. Good value for money.
The breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was quite new and clean. The shower was spacious and plenty of hot water. The accommodation was excellent value for money. There was plenty of parking space and the exterior of the property had character and nice mature gardens with seating
The only criticism we would give is that the reception area - the floor walls and stairs are very shabby - lots of chipped paintwork and "ground in dirt floorboards. The paintwork on the staircase needs doing and this is a shame as the property is a period property with lovely old features. The carpet in the bedroom was quite threadbare and again the paintwork was chipped and the walls needed a "wipedown." However, still very good value for money
Location was very good for our purposes, good breakfast, friendly staff member.
Some road noise from M1, room was cold at first, shower room tiles were cracked and loose, TV remote control was faulty, no lift. A disabled person would find this hotel impossible.
Attention I received Courtesy Staff Clear after hours instructions Help with my Luggage
Liked the location and the overall appearance. Room size was good.
Didn't like the incomplete fire safety notices, the unacceptable telivision connection, the state of the shower room floor in front of the wash basin, the lack of a shower tray, the confusing external signage and the high price of the breakfast, which, for that reason I declined.
Good parking, Visually good. Restaurant and restaurant service good. Food very nice.
Man on the door barely spoke English. Room very small. No hot water. Not cleaned very well. Splashes down the wall in the bathroom where someone had washed hands.
Filthy, damp rooms. Poor customer service. No dining facilities but took money for breakfasts to be served in the room before telling us this/seeing the rooms.
We needed a hotel for just one night for a wedding. The rooms were basic but clean. There didn't seem to be any staff in the hotel during the early hours though you could enter and leave freely with a swipe fob. That was the only annoying part as early in the morning we needed extra milk and coffee for a hot drink as there wasn't sufficient in the room. There were no staff around till 9.30. However for the price it was good value and we were happy with our stay
Not enough staff around early morning
Clean room & great shower
rooms were comfy and clean,toiletries/ towels were provided, Quiet location close to Leicester and had a good sized car park
some of the decor was missing in the restaurant, and paint was shabby and old around the central feature.Reception was closed when i arrived and my booking took some time to find on their computer. There was also a language barrier as some of the staff spoke little or no English, the table in the T.V. lounge looked like it had not seen a damp cloth in weeks !!!
good base clean , just what is needed for a short stay, free wifi, good parking
smallish room, a little tired.
The location was good for my purpose
Staff took long too open front door didn't seem very welcoming When taken to my room it smelt of sweat or cat pee One of the tea bags was yuk Couldn't get wi fi was not given a code. Reception was empty all the time. Didn't see any staff. Carpet had an iron burn on I was told there would be a hairdryer but there wasn't. Bed was not made after first night Curtains did not fit -gap and car parking straight outside the window Was not told about on going refurbishment of restaurant so no where to eat. There was no light over sign outside so drove straight past initially. Also the booking form said departure between 10-12am but on the door of the room it says to be out by 10 or else you will be charged another night. On the whole it was a very negative experience I was hoping it would be a regular place to stay when visiting my mother but no way would I spend money there again. A very unhappy pensioner what a waste of my money.
Off street parking.
This accommodation was attached to an Indian restaurant. During our stay the restaurant was being refurbished. The room was too small for the double bed. No servicing of the room for our three nights stay. Poor quality and we found out that better rooms were not being used. Could have stayed at the Leicester Hilton for the same room rate. Overall very poor rating and would have been worse if restaurant was operating.
Toby Carvery 3 miles away does a good cheap breakfast Those people who got a bed said that they were comfy. Location near motorway was useful.
Carpets were stained & dirty Staff were not very friendly or welcoming Dining area completely shut with no prior warning to our stay. They didn't get our booking correct and so didn't have enough beds for us to sleep in in our room.
Attitude of staff, they were not around much so if you wanted something it was too bad.Not welcoming at all .
When we arrived on Friday night the hot water tap in the basin was not working. It was fixed after I phoned the hotel on Saturday morning to complain but I was less than impressed to be told it was the responsibility of the previous guest to report the problem. I feel that if the cleaner had done his or her job properly they would have noticed it and sorted it out accordingly. The toilet seat is also broken and the bathroom vanity light does not work. The bar and dining facilities are a building site and are not available for use and the noise from other guests and late arrivals is very disturbing. Whilst it is cheap it is not good value for money.Overall I cannot recommend this hotel.
Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Powerful shower! Only had to stay for 2 nights- just for sleeping!! Indian restaurant was very good.
Creaky floor boards- no midnight wee! TV remote didn't work. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable. Towels were once white. Limited storage. No lift- I struggle walking as I have MS. Toilet was too close to the wall with a towel rail in the way so had to sit on it wonkily. Then the toilet seat broke....
Helpful and friendly staff; the room was clean and spacious, with a well placed tv set where all beds could view easily. The beds were also very comfortable. Considering how much we paid, it was an awesome deal.
Food the room was comfortable
Excellent staff, extremely helpful. A very simple hotel, but was all I needed on a business trip.
A surprisingly bight emergency light in my room that wouldn't switch off.
Price was good for the area, and the free wi-fi was very reliable. Stayed in two rooms, one was better than the other. Both had good bathrooms.
The cleanliness could have been better (especially the carpets in the rooms)
Good value for money
Location, quite far from city centre
