Staff was very friendly and helpful.breakfast was plentiful and good. Good location to subway and west end.
We came to Glasgow to watch the rugby (Scotstoun), which was just a 45 minute walk away. We used the hotel as a base and it did what it says on the packet. Would use it again.
There was nothing to dislike, it is a 3 star hotel and that is what we expected.
Location and great staff and breakfast was very ample
No lift. The stairs were very difficult to maneuver. The bathroom shower was very very small and only one bRg towel was given per bed. No where to hang towels to dry. Found the bathroom inadequate.
Very plesant breakfast room.
Climbing to room on top floor but compensated by very good price.
Room was spacious staff very friendly. The hotel was close to the university where my conference rook place.
Good location in West End being near Botanical Gdns and not far from Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum as well as the Rennie Mac house at the University. Cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Public transport easy from here too. Adequate accommodation in a good sized room. Clean and bright in our room and elsewhere. Breakfast served efficiently and with a smile. Staff on desk helpful with local information and maps.
Room windows tricky to open. Pillows rather hard. Nowhere to put shower products. Breakfast unimaginative and quality mediocre.
Room was clean
parking poor No hot water in the morning Traffic very noisie Room very cold at night
Reception and helpful staff. Convenient location for transport to city centre. Good value -
Long way up to top floor room
The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. As soon as I walked in to the reception area, I felt relaxed. The receptionist was extremely helpful and pleasant. The breakfast room area, was also clean, and I had a lovely breakfast. Thank you
The lack of parking
Clean Very well furnished/designed rooms Excellent freshly cooked breakfast Helpful reception staff
Difficulty in getting taxi from hotel;.on 2 occassions they failed to arrive/could not be found - almost missed trains TWICE. Hotel needs to sort WHERE precisely they will be to collect guests
staff and location
only 1 towel each
The breakfast was really good that we can choose from several options. The room was clean and big. The bed is cosy. The shower is also comfortable.
We climbed several steps with big luggage to reach the hotel which was a little tired to do so. Also, the hotel just locates near the main road, thus, it was a little noisy when sleeping.
As it was my 1st trip to Scotland I was very lucky to find a hotel that was within my budget considering from being the Caribbean how expensive it can be in the UK and the staff treated me as their own and advised me of the places to see and where I could get public transportation to go about..they even provided a map in the event that I got lost and on the day I was leaving a taxi was organised on time for me to head back to Buchanan Bus Station. So the next time that I am ever in Scotland I would definitely stay there. It was like a 2nd home to me.
Those dark curtains and not much of a wide variety with breakfast. Also, not sure whether lunch can also be served as well or is that for guests to seek on their own? Wasn't sure
Quadruple room had single beds which was great.
Location to U of Glasgow, room, service, staff, friendiness
breakfast was only fair.
Location is great for Byres road.and West end..lovely fresh hot cooked breakfast. .friendly helpful staff.
Only stayed 1 night wish we had more.
As we were looking for somewhere local to Oran Mor the location couldnt have been better
Run down Desperate need of upgrading Poor quality linen and bed/bedding Would not advise for disabled Breakfast served too late for weekend, we had early departure.
Good price/quality...it is clean, beds are ok and people are nice in 10 minutes you are in the city center by bus
if there were a lift it would be perfect
Welcoming, helpful staff. Good location for West End attractions and near City Centre. Comfy ground floor bedroom. Hotel has 24 hour reception. Good quality plentiful breakfast .
Nothing-although if you can't walk far, be aware that as the hotel is on a terrace above Great Western road, taxis can't drop you off at entrance. For any one else this isn't a problem as the walk is short and you are above traffic noise.
Good position and clean comfortable rooms
no lift (elevator)
Excellent hotel just come back from our second stay there and we will defiantly be going back. Nice clean rooms great value for money lovely staff and great location. Can't wait for our next visit.
Too many stairs
Good location and value.
Quite noisy from main road and rather warm room.
friendly and helpful staff good breakfast close to the university of Glasgow
