The breakfast selection was fine but who eats turkey rashers? The tattie scone and the hash brown was not fried enough to be crispy or warm. Disappointing! I took the continental the 2nd morning but would have liked a bit of ham. Room 4 was a good sized single room. However the carpet was a bit scruffy otherwise the room and shower room were clean. I would have liked to be able to open the window but neither would open.

The location was very convenient, especially for us because we went to Glasgow for the Greek Easter and the orthodox church was only 10 minutes away. Also the bus stop was exactly in front of the hotel. The room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good and with big variety. Our room was too small due to the fact that it was on the last floor and exactly under the roof. Also the water in the shower wasn't warm enough. Finally, personally I would like the heating to be on, because those days it was very cold in Glasgow.

Fantastic central location in Glasgow's West End. Lovely building with period features. Rooms tastefully decorated with lovely presentation of accessories. Generous supply of tea, coffee and biscuits in rooms. 24 hour reception. Very quiet in rooms with no traffic noise or disturbance from guest activities. Good selection at breakfast with prompt service. Shower cubicles are very small with a fixed shower head that makes manoeuvring difficult. Hot water was not immediate in coming through.

Good location close to Byres Road/Ashton Lane. Good value. Entrance and stairway looking a bit tired - could do with a makeover.

Nice, helpful, friendly staff. Good breakfast. Decent location. Reliable, free internet connection. No water pressure. Had to wait about 5min for hot water to barely trickle through the shower head. The single bed was uncomfortable--way too soft. Unfortunately these are the two most important things for me when staying at a hotel--bed comfort and a nice shower!

I really enjoyed the lovely view of the city in a comfortable, but historic area easy to reach the university and convenient to public transportation. All the stairs were good for me and a challenge, but might not work for all.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Room spotless and warm (with driving sleet outside!). Breakfast substantial! Outstanding value for money (for what we paid). Parking difficult but we were fortunate and got one of the three spaces round the back.
