Very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Excellent West End location, very near to Botanic Gardens. Great value for money.
Lack of parking spaces. Finding a parking place nearby proved to be a problem.
The breakfast could be improved. Ok choice but poor quality produce for the cooked breakfast
Location is brilliant if you want to be in the west. Could not believe that a cooked breakfast was included in the price. Staff we're very friendly.
The stairs could be a mission if you had a heavy bag. It's an old building with no lift and the stairs are steep.
Nice room, good shower, good breakfast, nice staff
Very noisy upstairs.
Handy for Byres Road and the Kelvingrove Museum. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good breakfast. Staff were friendly.
Ancient sash window in my room didn't open. I felt this place could do with some investment to return it to its former glory - but this will inevitably put the price up.
The rooms are large and the windows look onto a quiet yard and I woke up on the morning to find a fox looking at me! The shower was great The breakfast was fantastic and the girls lovely
It was all good
Clean room and bathroom. Decent breakfast in the morning
The parking at the back of hotel is not a good first impression. Also, the heating was on during summer, the rooms were hot!!
Hotel entrance is elevated from the street.
Everything, breakfast selection superb!!
Nothing to complain
Nice clean spacious room. Good breakfast Good access to shops Not far from station Nice and quiet
Rooms to warm even with window open to hot to sleep, a fan in the room would be good as no air conditioning, no lift so a porter would have been helpful or at least the offer of one to help with cases especially for the elderly.
The breakfast was very good. We had a good night's rest there.
We had a lot of trouble finding the hotel. It was located in an area of one-way streets and dead ends. We finally parked the car, got out and walked, and asked lots of people how to get there. Finally a postman knew gave directions, and we found the place.
Nice comfortable room and reception staff were excellent
breakfast felt a bit rushed as whilst still eating your cereal your cooked breakfast was brought to you at your table
Friendliness, nice bed and shower, assistance if needed.
Breakfast was average ---- had better, but certainly had worse
plenty of shops and restaurants near the hotel, especially the Ashton Lane
No wifi signal in the room.
Location. Clean rooms. Quiet at night. Friendly staff.
Breakfast somehow poor.
Hotel well located for access to area of Glasgow ii was visiting. 24 hour reception. Very friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Top floor room had great views of the city and hills beyond. Wonderful.
Would have likes a bath but iust a shower. And TV remote left me baffled!
Good location. Nice building. Good breakfast. Very quiet and stylish room. Free Wi-fi.
Full payment at time of booking months in advance. Staff at breakfast friendly but very hectic.
Great location, the rooms are very nice. The breakfast is also good. It was great to be in one of those beautiful old buildings.
There are a LOT of stairs but they did help us with our bags.
Good value for money, clean large room and nicely located for town.
Great hassle to find, surrounding poor and unkempt, poor parking! The breakfast was sub standard, terrible turkey rasher and sausages!
a nice hotel for a budget price
first looks above some shops, at its location, but once in side, great
Location, really great area for lovely restaurants, the art gallery and botanical gardens
Nothing really - our host carried our bags up the stairs.
I booked this hotel at the last minute for our commonwealth games stay and it didn't disappoint. We booked a twin but were given a huge triple room with free biscuits and all the tea we could drink. The free breakfast had everything from cereal to fruit to a full cooked Scottish option, and throughout the staff couldn't do enough to help us: looking after our luggage, fetching extra milk cartons for tea, booking us cabs, finding the hairdryer etc etc. The location was excellent for the lovely Botanic Gardens and the bars and restaurants on and around Byers Road and only ten minutes from the nearest underground station. We were really happy with this hotel and would like to thank them for showing us such great hospitality.
There were only three very very minor downsides: our bathroom needed a more powerful extractor fan (smelled very slightly damp); the TV was small (but we weren't there to watch TV so didn't really care); the breakfast hours were very limited (7-9am on a weekday... We nearly missed it on the Monday!) But these are just picky points :)
Great location, lovely big room, complimentary water and chocs, nice view on to Great Western Road, cheery staff, and the shower was excellent!
The only thing was the shower room was a bit wee, as the shower unit was amazing
- Nice staff - Comfortable room - Great breakfast - Good location
- The cab driver couldn't find it because the entrance is through a back alley. I arrived around midnight and I had to call the hotel to ask for directions, as no one could tell me where it was!
