Went to see Elvis Costello at the Bournemouth International Centre and the Hermitage is literally just across the road from the venue. Staff were attentive and friendly. Bright, comfortable and airy room. Free parking at the hotel. Short walk to the shops. No vegetarian choice on the restaurant menu.

Food was excellent - breakfast and service very good and we had one dinner which was top class. Rooms could do with a little updating - tv not big enough and decor a little tired

Very helpful staff, good location opposite the Pier and beach . Excellent breakfast and service in a very sumptuous room. The rooms are small and the seaview rooms noisy as there is a busy road outside the hotel. The rooms would be very hot in the summer and with open windows would be even noisier. Old fashioned bathroom with a duck! Typical old fashioned British hotel somewhat relying on an older reputation. Not really 4 star as far as accommodation . Many B&Bs have better facilities. However if the price is Ok one nght is fine as long as it is a weekend!

A comfortable and welcoming hotel. Very good restaurant with food and service to match. Staff attentive and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel in the future. There is only one small lift to service all four floors. This lift is also used by the hotel to move laundry and other items which causes 'bottlenecks' especially in the morning.

This was our second stay at The Hemitage Hotel and certainly wont be our last ! From the moment you enter reception you are made to feel so welcome and the staff can't do enough for you . The room was on the top floor and had panoramic views of the sea and beachfront. The room was of a high standard and spotlessly clean. We had one lunch and breakfast during our stay and as expected the food was great with plenty of choice....

The location and the helpfulness of the staff. The parking facilities. Technical faults; no power one morning so no cooked breakfast and fire alarm going off at three in the morning. Small bathroom.

The standard of the room was very good, although we would have preferred two double beds, because my friend and I find it very difficult to sleep in a single bed - otherwise excellent. Location, cleanliness, excellent

Did not stay in the hotel long enough to say. Our Room for the extra price we paid was small and the bed even smaller. The premier up the road would have had bigger beds.

“Fantastic family friendly hotel with large rooms and lots of space. We had a large double room with two extra camp beds put in and still had space to swing a cat or two!! The swimming pool area is lovely and although children are only allowed at certain times it is still very family friendly. Breakfast is great and again it is family friendly, my children were very pleased to be allowed to choose their own breakfast!” Agnes, Reading |
