The Hermitage Hotel offers the best location in Bournemouth! Within walking distance of the shops and town centre, right opposite the sea front, Bournemouth International Conference Centre and The Pavilion Theatre. Easily reachable, only 12 minutes driving from Bournemouth Airport and 5 minutes from the Coach and Train Stations. A short drive to the New Forest, Dorset countryside and other major tourist attractions.

All rooms are en-suite and fitted with all modern facilities. We offer free wireless internet and free parking facilities.

Please note that full payment will be requested upon arrival.

We do not cater for Hen and Stag parties, ensuring that all our customers enjoy a good night's sleep.

Privately owned with 74 en suite rooms furnished in an elegant and classic style, the Hermitage truly is a treasure amongst Bournemouth's hotels.

Food & beverage

Our chefs work tirelessly to deliver quality and consistency to every meal. This hard work has been recognised by receiving an AA rosette for food quality. The AA rosette is given to restaurants which can produce dishes of sound quality using the freshest ingredients. We are one of a handful of Bournemouth restaurants to receive this award and welcome visitors and guests at our hotel in Bournemouth to sample the food on offer.

Excellent location - right by Bournemouth Pier.

The room was very hot and stuffy. It would have been helpful if they had told us there was a fan in the cupboard before we checked out!

I could see the sea!!

Room was very small & tatty - wallpaper peeling, cracked tiles etc. Shower was abysmal. Corridors and our room seemed very hot but no sign of heating(assume must be hot water pipes - ha ha !) - we could open our window, but the street noise then kept us awake! Breakfast on the Sunday was very busy and staff were determined to ignore you - I had to go up to someone and ask for tea & coffee

The location of the hotel was perfect for my needs.

I found the hotel rooms and corridors to be very warm too warm at times for the time of year but this did not distract from the overall excellent stay I had at the hotel

Location of property to nearby attractions.

It was too small, too hot, the toilet leaked a big puddle, you had to be really good and accurate with spitting toothpaste out as the sink was tiny(!!) staff on reception said they would get things sorted and didn't - I could go on!

The staff were excellent and very welcoming to me as a solo traveller. There was also a very small walk from the hotel to the beach and the city centre.

It was possibly the warmest hotel I've ever stayed in, and with no signs of the mysterious heat source. This was fixed after a few days though.

convenient for the BIC

returning from the gig at 10.30 would like to have had a couple of drinks in the bar but because there was a office christmas party on there were load of party goers making a lot of noise - got no problem with that but i did fancy a quiet drink in the hotel bar - hey ho

The staff were vey friendly and helpful.

When running a bath the colouration of the water from the hot tap. came out "rusty" in colour. Also room seemed small compared to other hotels stayed in of the same style and age.
