Heroes Hotel

The man who ran the hotel was amazing. Showed us where to park, brought us a heater as our room was a cold at one point. We had booked 2 rooms however we asked on check in if we could have 1 room for us all and it wasn't a problem. Very very nice man. We loved the location, walking distance to the Gate even in 6 inch heels!! Great!!

Stairs to the room were hard work with luggage however we asked to be in a big room and the big rooms were at the top.

Cheap. Staff were friendly

The entrance is in a takeaway. We had 3rooms and only one had hot water. One room had a broken shower door with glass in the shower base, another room had graffiti on the door/wall and the 3rd had holes in the wall. I wouldn't stay there again

First this looks nothing like a hotel and we hadf problems finding it . you had to go through a chip shop. We were asked to leave a room deposit, but when he saw we were a family , he agreed wedidnt look the type tp wreck rooms. When we got to the room there was a dirty condom left on the floor. No soap and no toilet paper. We new we had to take towels, But surely this is a basic need.. The beds were crammed so close together we could of shared. Never never again. Absolutely disgusting and not fit for families.

Location is excellent, literally two minutes from all the nightlife.

For the price we paid, I didn't expect the Ritz. However, the room was more basic than anticipated. There light in the bedroom wasn't working and we had to rely on bathroom light to see. Also there was no curtain up.

As long as there was no damage you can do what ever you like with no problems

The location and it was relatively inexpensive though after staying there I would pay more to stay somewhere nicer. The location was close to shopping and overall not too noisy.

I booked this "hotel" as a friend research and told me to do so. I should've looked into the details. Foremost, it is a hostel at best. My shower had no hot water, thank goodness it was the summer (50 low). It is a hostel at best. It sits above a "fish and chip" restaurant that also serves as the check-in counter. They require a 20 gbp deposit per person right off the bat. The rooms are very small, barely fitting the beds. The beds themselves were broken bunk beds that seem quite unsturdy. The mattresses were so uncomfortable. There were no other furnitures in the room, no tables, chairs, etc. Bathroom was nice and clean but no hot water and very small. No towels provided. Overall, it was a very uncomfortable place to stay. If you are on a budget and do not plan on relaxing in your room in any way, then this is the right place. Otherwise, I would not stay here. The one staff member we dealt with was extremely unpleasant and not at all customer friendly. I'm not sure if he isn't aware that this is a service business and customers satisfaction is extremely important. Even if your place isn't the best, it makes a huge difference if you have nice, friendly, and helpful staff.

Very cheap, friendly staff, open 24 hours, excellent location & perfect for a group of people in Newcastle for a weekend. Cheap and decent food. Popular with Stags and Hens and if that is the reason of your stay, the Hotel is literally only used to sleep in and not much else! No mod cons, but not really needed. There was also a nice mural of Famous Geordies painted downstairs with Cheryl Tweedy as its centrepiece! You cant go wrong there!

No hot water in the shower in 2 of our 3 rooms although we never mentioned anything to anyone as a 3 minute cold shower got the job done. The bunk beds were a bit rickety and some rungs were missing on the ladders although I guess people keep stealing them.

The only thing that was positive about the Heros hotel is that is has a perfect location right in the city centre and has access to the shops and bars around the area

The room was tiny and filthy that obviously hasn't been cleaned very well also on a weekend it's filled with young people so as you can imagine its very noisy.

For a night stay, The hotel served the purpose. It's a hostel not a hotel. Pizza was great. central located

Booking.com needs to review Heroes Hotel in Newcastle and enlist it under hostels. it is very basic, just the bulks and toilet rolls. No shower gel,soap,TV,table or chairs.

The rooms were so small as it was even smaller than backpackers, leakage of water into the corridor outside my room after having a shower. The room that friend of mine had could not even lock the toilet door; also the bed was bend! Wasn't quite value for money at all for a hotel like this!

Really good value for money & excellent location for bars & clubs. Just the job for a stag weekend !!.

Perfekte Lage ... direkt neben allen Sehenswürdigkeiten und 5-10 Minuten vom Bahnhof. Sehr sehr billig. Englisches Frühstück für 2,50 Pfund in dem Restaurant / Bar direkt unter dem Hotel. Extrem nette Mitarbeiter.

Betten sehr unbequem. Dusche war nur kalt. Sehr karges Zimmer.

Ubicacion

Tener q entrar por medio de un kebab para subir al cuarto, no habia toallas, los cuartos dan un poco de asquete, no hay jabon en el baño pero con mucha pero que muchisima diferencia el tema de la incomodidad de los colchones es horrible! Imposible acomodarte, no descansas y te levantas con los muelles bien clavaditos. No volveria nunca en la vida!

How close it was to everything.

The place was dirty, there was still rubbish in our bin when we got there, there was coke cans on the floor, the shower was cold and useless and it was just a very grotty place really. You get what you pay for i suppose.
