Very friendly & welcoming owners, who run a very nice rural ( but not too removed ) B&B / Guesthouse. Very close to Bournemouth Airport too! Make they're own cereals, do a nice cooked breakfast. All in all a great nights stay, wholly recommended. Much better than a bigger / chain hotel, and way better value!!!
Lovely country feel, comfortable bed, large bedroom
No allowance for early breakfast no alternative offered. Had to leave for airport by 7.15 am
This is a lovely place to stay, unique, friendly and classy. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. A lovely, friendly atmosphere with great personality.
A lovely house in a quiet location, and yet only 10 minutes from excellent beaches and towns/villages. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Highly Recommend.
The location is ideal for the airport. It is also peaceful and we had the run of the house with plenty of space. The food was very good and the proprietor was chatty. If you want a quiet break or something near the airport it is ideal from this perspective. There are not any tvs in the room but there is one in a nice lounge, if you need it.
Lack of attention to detail. The rooms were not serviced between our first and second night and although there was tea making equipment, a biscuit or two would have been a nice touch. A cooked breakfast means just that, with no cereal. Similarly a cereal breakfast is just that. We did not ask for both as we did not need it but it is unusual not to have the option automatically. At £7.50 extra for either, however, the price was reasonable.
It wad very quiet and the location was lovely.
My son,13, wad given a cot mattress on the floor. Not what was expected. The shower had no door and the cleanliness left a bit to be desired.
Owners were nice people but not very organised.
Dirty tired rooms, uncomfortable bed, cobwebs galore, worn linen and carpets also tea and coffee in room sparce breakfast not included in price and very disorganised. Very overpriced would have been better to have stayed in a travel lodge and that's saying something.
Management friendly good for one night
Smell of dogs around the place
Good location for where we needed to be. Comfortable bed
We chose Heronshaw because the the website information talked about breakfast in the dining room and complimentary afternoon tea, which sounded good value. In reality, our booking was room only, with a kettle and a teabag!
Very friendly welcome, lovely location, beautiful garden
Plumbing in adjacent room was very noisy through the thin drywall partition
Lovely historic house and quiet location. Nice breakfast. Owner made an effort to be nice
Vastly overpriced and extremely annoying to feel misled by their publicity material. Contrary to impression given a full English breakfast costs £12.50 extra, no details of wi if access in rooms, carpets smelly and stained, cobwebs in room, no bedside table, no teaspoons for coffee in rooms. Give this house was marketed as luxurious I left feeling cheated having paid £145 for 2 nights and cereal breakfast. Misleading and possibly illegal website blurb
Lovely, quiet location, home-made bread and breakfast cereals, the stone-flagged entrance hall. Books everywhere and very comfortable bed. Roses around the bathroom window. No TV in the bedroom - and our shower worked fine.
Nothing not to like.
No evening meal available
the place was horrible its so dirty! and the clean bedlining hid the fleas which bit us alnight !! Free breakfast ! it cost us £15.00 for two bowls of cereal. Never again
Breakfast was excellent. Good sized room
great welcome, friendly owners, lovely room
a special mention to the shower. Very unsafe and unfriendly. The only (very) negative point
Hospitality of owners. Tranquil surroundings despite being near Bournemouth Airport. Superb breakfast.
No TV in bedroom. WiFi connection poor.
There were a lot of ladybirds crawling on the walls and bedside tables... I pulled the bed out from the wall in the night when several had woken me by crawling over my face! The carpets were very stained and the whole place smelt musty.....they said that the brickwork had flooded during the winter storms. We had an early flight so no breakfast available but a packed sandwich would have been nice. Also no wastepaper bin so we had to root around for a plastic bag,
Lovely property. Excellent location for Hurn airport 15mins door to door. Proprietors very friendly. Room comfortable and characterful.
The "restaurant" was not open. This was not a problem to me personally but it could be to someone who arrives expecting food to be available so check first.
comfortable and homely with helpful and welcoming owners
too far away from restaurants if you arrive without a car.
We enjoyed our visit very much We will come again just try stopping us I will recommend you Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality
Lovely house, very friendly hostess, lovely breakfast, the room was very comfortable. Very good location for the airport.
The room was a bit too warm for us.
I very much enjoyed the welcome and tour. Breakfast was completely delicious.
Old farm house feel
Coffee could have been served a little hotter, but thats the only minor complaint
The breakfast was excellent and the lady very friendly and helpful.
Initial welcome. Yes we had arrived early by mistake- for which we apologised and offered to come back later - but felt our early arrival was over-emphasised by the male owner. We were allowed in though. The carpets were badly stained, light fittings grimy. The hotel was cold and due to design reasons we were told not to use the power shower on full power.
