The standard room which we upgraded at our cost to a room that we felt better portrayed BW
Great staff, lovely food
We loved the modern and clean spa facilities. The hotel was relaxed and comfortable and clean.
good leisure facilities,especially the pool
desk staff at departure couldn't or couldn,t be bothered to book us in at another great western hotel,he actually said he didn't have the number but i offered to supply it from your brochure available in the hotel to no avail and lost the company a booking as we stayed elsewhere. it is quite normal to do this in hotels belonging to the same chain.
The staff hotel and location
This hotel is the only choice of you want gym facilities included, in the Bridgend area. Priced to compete with budget hotels and quality guest houses it is a far better option than either. Staff are friendly and check in/out is painless.
The hotel, whilst comfortable and clean, has a slight air of neglect about it. The corridors, rooms and overall feel could all do with updating. The gym, which was the main reason I chose this hotel had older, partially damaged equipment that spoilt the experience. That sums it up really , my stay was good but could have been very good had things been maintained a little better.
I reported that the radiators were not working on the first night and that they banged very early in the morning. And after the second night I found that they still were not working.
We went away for a break from the children,I was totally relaxed and had the best nights sleep in 2 years, lovly.
Went out to eat so can't rate the food.we assumed the meals would be small and we like big meals but can't be sure as we just assumed but will eat there next time just to try it.
The staff were great, hotel was spotless, food good as was the room and facilitys
Stayed in room 62 , had no wifi , only fault I found
OUTSTANDING service, really can't speak highly enough of the people working there, they made us feel very welcome. The food was fantastic and very good value for money. Will definitely go back
I stayed for birthday weekend, couldn't have went at a worse time as there was a wedding party going on right next to the restaurant, we had to finish my birthday meal in our room as there was a table full of drunk people across the restaurant being loud and lairy and they were not told to consider other people in the room. Not really something you expect in a spa hotel
Facilities in the room
Lack of action from reception
Comfy clean room, pool was good, felt spacious in all area, grounds were nice.
Waiting over an hour for breakfast, flippant staff, long wait at bar, noisy guests disturbing us at 2am
the relaxed atmosphere
nothing...felt sorry for the Christmas tree that was drooping
The bar service and prices
Leisure complex, bar area.
Work all over country as do contractors i travelled with, all agreed hotel was excellent as where the staff you wont regret booking this hotel. got a free unexpected upgrade as well which just added to the enjoyment of the stay. 10/10 for Best Western Heronston. Many thanks APDecs
room was extremely spacious and well equipped. bathroom facilities very good. All staff friendly and attentive
Breakfast Buffet on Boxing Day was a bit haphazard.
everything was excellent from the reception staff to the cleaners
Dead friendly , everything was done really well . We went for a superior room , plenty of space and lovely and quiet . Spa was perfect .
Restaurant was shut and bar menu was ok , but didn't really take our fancy . The girls at reception recommended Ashoka Indian in Bridgend , £10 taxi both ways . Freshly cooked wonderlful food and a doggy bag .
Receptionist upgraded me away from a noisy 6th form party. All the staff were very good
good food in evening. good wifi
lack of staff when booking in. lack of staff in bar area lack of staff and service at breakfast the cooked breakfast was very different on day 2.
Comfortable rooms. Good parking.
Noisy guests. Poor sleep. Will not be staying again.
welcoming reception staff. comfortable room.
No sleep until 01.30 because of intolerable noise from rooms above (poor insulation ?) and from "event" adjoining. No disabled parking in evening due to "event".
lack of choice in the bar regards draught beer. surely you could have more than one?
- nice and big bedroom, with king size bed - swimming pool it's amazing - good breakfast
- expensive and poor selection of food in the bar and the kitchen closed too early at 7.30pm (restaurant was closed for Christmas parties)
