In my opinion Best Western provide a level of service ,comfort and facilities that are well described as as a three star standard and I have no doubt that you are able to provide a comparable four star service quite easily. It may interest you to know that my wife and I went on a six week tour of East Canada and America some years ago and we used Best Western Hotels as often as we could.. Reception area and lounge were quite comfortable. Availability of the swimming pool was a bonus and very pleasant. Room was rather tired and in need of decoration and furnishing upgrade. This comment applies to hotel generally I.e corridors etc. Bar area was very utility and uninviting by present day standards. We were attending a wedding at hotel and therefore can hardly complain, however the presence of large numbers of guests at other functions and conferences etc made service at bar/car parking etc very difficult at the week-end

The Evening Meal we had Table D'ote was excellent. The service was excellent. The Leisure pool a little small but adequate if not too many people using it.! Our Bedroom was large & had a large comfortable bed.

The spa was very nice. The food was really really bad! I had no feedback when I informed the staff of this. It felt a bit dated throughout the hotel which made me uncomfortable.

The woman at reception was totally charming and very helpfull. In fact, all the staff with whom we came in contact were excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable. The coffee was dreadful. The decor seemed a little tired. I repeat the coffee was dreadful,

We arrived at the hotel a bit early, the receptionist went out of her way to accommodate us by offering a shower for us to get ready to go out and she took our cases and kept them secure. The food was excellent cant fault anything

We felt that staying at the Hotel for a week that there was not enough cupboard space ie no draws,So we found ourselfs living out of the suitcases. Seems to be set up more for business people than holiday makers.Question below only if they are staying a few days.

Room was large and clean. Nice bar area. The receptionist was lovely. She offered us a newspaper however when we asked after it the next morning it has not been noted therefore no paper! Apart from that it was excellent.

The warm welcome when we arrived, the comfort of our room, the practicabillty of the food arrangements, ie restaurant or bar meal both to a good standard. I don't like this one pillow idea, on beds per person. In my experience most people like two.Cost cutting I know, but all the care you put into the care of the customer let down by a pillow ! Breakfast had the potential of been great, let down by just scrambled egg on offer, eggs could be prepared in other ways if ordered before hand, (ie fried) the art was getting all cooked breakfast items timed together. And finally the toast !! I think the kitchen needs a new toaster, the best you could call it was stiff bread, not a vestige of colour.

My husband and I chose to stay at this hotel as we were visiting family in the area. The accomodation was excellent and the breakfast very good quality. All the staff were polite and efficient. When we returned to the hotel on our second night, at 11pm, we were rather concerned to see that a 50th Birthday party was being held in a first floor function room, with loud music drifting out through open doors and windows. As our bedroom was on this floor we were worried that we would have trouble sleeping. However, once we entered our room we were very pleasantly surprised that no music or noise could be heard. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definately make a return visit in the future The only thing we didn't like was that, when first arriving at the hotel, the sign was not lit up bgy the road, so that we almost missed the entrance.

As a family group of two adults and four children we stayed for three nights b&b in Aug and had a wonderful break. We felt we got good value for our money as the facilities were excellent and the food likewise. The location was perfect for exploring south Wales with both Cardiff and Swansea nearby. Leisure facilities were great ,our regret was that we did not avail of them enough. One abiding memory of the hotel was the relaxed atmosphere there which was our main reason for taking this family break. We loved it and would love to go back sometime in the future. Would have liked interconnecting rooms
