Rooms and hallways quite darkly decorated. Took a while fir shower to warm up
Great location in Skipton and a great place to stay. Friendly staff and comfortable room which they had kindly upgraded me too. Thank you
Nothing everything was fine
Situated just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Skipton with a large car park. Hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Food in the restaurant, both evening and breakfast, was good.
Half price meal on Sunday evening.
The evening meal was excellent The staff where very helpful
The first room was noisy due to party downstairs Moved to another Room Breakfast was terrible
good location ,rooms are nice
Very friendly staff. Helpful when problems arose with room. Moved to another room quickly. Excellent food in rhubarb's restaurant.
Room 6 !
Quilt too small Shower too near wall Shower black mould inside and out. Television was faulty
Lovely staff, very friendly, Hotel was really nice, loved the decor, clean, it had a cosy, atmosphere, made you fell welcome from the moment we arrived. Very handy for the train station to get to Leeds for concert and only a short stroll to the centre of Skipton. Would definately stay again. The breakfast was excellent, big choice and very tasty. Would definately recommend Herriots.
That we only stayed one night!
Staff were very friendly and could not do enough help you . Food was excellent
Lift was a bit of a gamble worked sometimes and not others
Ideally located for the market and castle - sightseeing.
Excellent. Could not fault the hotel. Good location. Across from the railway station, but ample car parking for residents. friendly and helpful staff.Easy chech-in.was made to feel welcome. Great rooms, spacious and comfortable. Free wi-Fi. Homely restaurant with fresh home cooked meals. Nice and comfortable bar area. Very clean and tidy hotel. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Very enjoyable experience
Location, staff, comfort and cleanliness in the room were all excellent.
Cost of food especially breakfast @ £9:50 each, cost of drinks, and the fact that the route to travel from reception to the rooms located overlooking the canal were blocked on the Saturday afternoon, by a function restricting access to their rooms. Also the noise from the evening function very audible in rooms above it, (the hotel does warn of this, but not the volume), and it did continue until midnight.
staff very helpful and friendly; single room was cleverly appointed, nice bathroom; management take good service seriously
Room was not the one we requested so we were upgraded accordingly. Fabulous resteraunt/food. Friendly helpful staff. Location perfect.
Would have liked the room we booked and asked for. Curtains didnt draw properly - gap in the middle. Towel rail kept falling off. A biscuit in the room would have been nice.
Atmosphere The music in front of the entrance. Music while we are eating the breakfast. In the morning, breakfast time the waitres is very helpful and kind. Shes name is Fanny I like this hotel. :)
I just ask some matches or lighter to the bar waiter. All of the hotel is didint find somebody who can give me. So im going to the shop... The hotel dont have DND (dont disturbe card) When i live out the room the heater is swich on but when i came back the mades put switch of... so im coming back a little bit colder room.
Location,good mannered staff.food was great,parking good.
Full English breakfast was barely warm on the first morning.I mentioned this on the second morning and it was much better. Shower had no strength so my wife was unable to wash her hair. Not sure why our room was a "classic double plus " will probably book in to a standard double next time.
The hotel was welcoming from the off. The rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with a great choice Location of hotel was also excellent. Great stay.
Hotel in right place, across the road from Train Station and only a 10 minute walk along the canal tow path into Skipton centre although the "lights" were not lit at night. Apparently there is a dispute with British Waterways and the Council regarding the issue etc.
Did not like the deco in the hotel. Our bedroom was very dark and dim. (Room 14). Had room service first morning but cooked breakfast not covered up so was cold by the time we ate our cereals etc hence ate in the dinning room on the second evening.
Stains on blanket Lack of hook on bathroom door Lack of towel rails was very inconvenient Breakfast Waiter didn't know much about local information as he was new. Twin mattress needs replacing as bumpy
Clean and tidy
Bad smell from the toilet. Mould around the shower and a cracked sink. Paint also flaking. Ideally needs a window!
Close proximity to town centre Parking on site is an advantage Rhubarb restaurant is very good Staff are very obliging and friendly
Unfortunately our room was in the main hotel on the second floor and there is no lift! Rooms have been refurbed but we have stayed in the new annexe and the rooms are far nicer there. Next time I would ask for the annexe on booking.
