All of it. The amazing room, the wonderful grounds of the castle, the fantastic breakfast in front of a roaring fire, the helpful staff who told us the better local pub to head to for dinner .. absolutely magical time from beginning to end. And the building itself is pretty amazing too ..
the location is fantastic. The grounds are amazing. I would recommend going in the off season when the castle is not open to the public and it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. Room was amazing. Food at breakfast was 1st rate. Would defo stay again
best breakfast we have ever had
nothing bad at all
A luxurious haven of tranquility! Delightful surroundings with the added bonus of total peace and quiet.
Only sad that we couldn't stay longer!
Everything, service made it feel homely yet it is such a regal place. Personal guided tour was icing on the cake.
Once again we had a wonderful time here; the staff (both check-in and night duty), facilities and room really are fantastic. Previously we stayed in Geranium and thought we'd pay a little extra for a 'feature room' on this occasion, which did not disappoint as we had Tulip. Breakfast was yet again to a very good standard and the morning walk in the grounds before visitors really does make you feel like king and queen of the castle. We had a little look in the vacated rooms as we left and I have to say that they are all fabulous - Tiger Lily or Primrose are the rooms I'd like to stay in next.
staff extremely friendly and helpful great breakfast and the castle tour made it all very special. can't wait to go back with the family...
When mentioned about a couple of minor issues they were dealt with really quickly (light bulb replaced & curtain rail fixed, bathroom radiator not on)
Bathroom radiator couldnt be switched on had to run hot tap a very long time to get it on. It was explained it was how the plumbing worked but does seem a little strange.
it was a privilege to stay in a place of English history BRILLIANT LOVED IT
leaving after 3 days
Beautiful Room, helpful staff and fascinating tour guide included in price !
Everything it was luxuriously furnished and couldn't fault anything. Just superb!
Beautiful accommodation and an incredible breakfast.
We loved our room was spacious had beautiful bathroom and very clean and comfortable. Staff excellent. Breakfast was well presented.Good value for money as included entry to castle and grounds. We will def be back.
Would be nice to have somewhere to have an evening drink on the premises.
The whole experience from start to finish was excellent I've stayed here many times and not been disappointed highly recommend many thanks Ross withers
Welcoming staff in a brilliant setting with great service
Spectacular bedroom with a massive bathroom, loved the billiard room and had a great breakfast. The actual manor house and grounds are nice, but a little underwhelming.
Room was excessively, and sleep prohibitively, hot. With no apparent way to turn down the heating after fumbling with radiators, we had to open the windows in mid-December!
Almost everything was wonderful. Huge, comfortable bed & beautiful surroundings. We had a view across the rooftops over to Hever and the free entry on both days was much appreciated.
The car park is dirt and gravel; it must be very muddy in the wet months. No bar - not even an honesty bar - is available so it would be awkward sitting in the 'library' or billiards room without a drink (they did let us have shop-bought food/drink in the rooms though). These are not huge issues but I was a bit put out when I paid £175 for a 'feature' room but could not identify the feature. You can peak in other rooms when not occupied...these seemed much more luxurious and large yet I paid the same price?!
Everything was wonderful. The room was beautiful and a really good size. The bed was enormous and amazingly comfortable. The bathroom was warm and comforting with its 'big enough for two' roll top bath.
Nothing to dislike.
The castle, the accommodation, everything.
Very lovely accommodation and service in a beautiful location.
We would have like to have two arm chairs in the room so we could sit and read without sitting on the bed.
I think Henry would approve of the Astor Wing. The Astors and their architect created a marvellous fantasy village in 1905 which lends itself perfectly to the high quality B and B accommodation which now occupies the buildings .
Very little. A degree of soundproofing to the door to our room would reduce echoing voices in the corridor though this is a very common problem in even some of the best hotels.
Friendly, helpful staff, warm welcome. Requested room 'Snowdrop' which was granted. Large comfortable bed, deep roll top bath and walk in shower. Lovely decor in a building full of character. Attention to detail, fresh floral displays. Delicious breakfast. Tickets to visit castle and grounds included in the room rate Altogether fabulous return visit!
The only thing to detract from a wonderful visit was the poor mobile phone reception, which is outwith the control of Hever Castle
The buildings themselves are magnificent, atmospheric, with beautiful, well kept gardens, The staff are warm, welcoming, friendly and very helpful and contributed to making our stay most enjoyable and memorable. We will definitely return.
There is absolutely nothing to dislike about Hever Castle! The only way that I could think of improving it would to be to provide more directional road signs, or perhaps a map on the booking page since we got lost!
everything from the moment we stepped out of the car staff extremely attentive but not obtrusive. sumptuous room sumptuous grounds the best place in the world to chill!!!!!
nothing at all but the forthcoming bar will be nice
- fantastic, breathtaking hotel - breakfast excellent - wetroom supurb - snookerroom pleasure to be in
- wifi codes given, but no connection was possible, used dataroaming - staff uniforms need renewing - would benefit to have a bar in the lounge
