Everything was perfection. We were made to feel so special. An experience we will never forget after staying in the Tulip suite. Shame we had to leave. Hever Castle and Astor Suite are definitely in a league of their own.
Access to the Castle as part of the stay and walking in the gardens before the tourists arrive. The room was really comfortable and bathroom luxurious. Would def stay again.
Wonderful stay in a absolute great location... Very frindly staff... Felt very welcomed...
You cannot eat anything in the lication, so when you arrive late you have to turn back to find anywhere else a pub ore something else...
We liked the location, standard and comfort of the accommodation. The room we had was quiet with a great view. The bathroom had a very large bath and separate walk in shower, ideal for us. The staff with whom we had contact were friendly, welcoming and efficient.
The only downside to the whole experience was the breakfast. The breakfast room was lovely, staff attentive and friendly however the food, except the eggs, appeared to have been cooked in advance and as a result was dry and hard.
Great facilities - amazing shower and bath, comfortable bed, brilliant breakfast and amazing location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a real treat.
Wonderful bedroom and little details. Being in the castle grounds was so special and a stay here is highly recommended
I liked everything. The place, the surrondings amd the room. The castle and the garden. The breakfast was very nice we could feel like lords. The heating worked in september.
We wanted to celebrate our 56th Wedding Anniversary somewhere We We could not have chosen a better location. Accommodation faultless, staff from welcome to adieu fantastic, breakfast well cooked, presented and plentiful. Castle grand and historically well documented. Guides informative and a pleasure to talk to The gardens well cared for with lots of sit down areas
The walk after dark to the Henry VIII for victims. If only the top gate was available to access the pub it souls For us old UN,s, the perilous walk up to the Henry VIII and back for victuals in the evening. If only the grounds top gate could have been availabl for our use it would have rounded off our days perfectly Reception did lend us a torch to guide our way back to Mon repose tho
room was fantastic and very pretty. especially loved the roll top bath and walk in shower
would like to see a bar on site and somewhere to eat in evening
Comfortable room with attentive, helpful staff.
A September heatwave made our 2nd floor room stuffy without air conditioning or a fan.
Location next to castle allowed for private and relaxing enjoyment of beautiful grounds.
Maze-like building, and wish there were more dining options in the evening.
The castle and the grounds are absolutely stunning! Our room was wonderful - clean, comfortable, and amazing decor. Fellow working front desk(check-in) was very personable and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty, and served to us at our table. Many choices of foods available for it. We had booked our supper meal at the Inn at the edge of the castle grounds, Henry VIII, and service and food were excellent there as well. I would have loved to have had more than a day to explore this place. It is brimming with history, and I hope one day to return there.
Getting there, unless one has rented a car, is difficult. We were erroneously told to take the train to Hever, and then either call a taxi, or walk a half mile walk.NOTE: Hever DOES NOT HAVE A TAXI. The correct stop to get off at to obtain taxi service would have been the next one beyond Hever. Also, DO NOT choose to do the walk. It is longer than 1/2 mile, but more importantly, the road is narrow and filled with vehicles driving at high speeds in both directions.
The ambience was unique, the breakfast was beautifully cooked and well presented.
Room could have done with more light.
Wonderful setting and accommodation
Good breakfasts Quiet in the evenings Plenty of parking Free access to castle and grounds Friendly staff
Rather dangerous walk to Henry Vlll pub! Not very generous shower gel, shampoo etc No fruit/snack food for evenings
Lovely location, quite room, very high quality.
Breakfast starts at 8:30, which is too late for a business traveler
Great period furniture in huge rooms. Contrasting with modern bathroom with might shower.
Luxury at its finest
Great place to stay for a special break, staff very nice and helpful.Breakfast was in a beautiful panelled room and was excellent.lake and garden very well laid out and the castle itself is lovely
No mini bar facilities, and I know that it's absolutely not hevers fault but the air plane noises were very noticible from about 5ish in the morning, could do with a bit of double glazing but I suppose it is a listed building
Fantastic luxury accommodation, value for money, great location, great service, would recommend to friends
Serene beauty Quiet
We loved the unique location, the beautiful castle, the historic room, the four-poster bed, the chaise-longue, the view of the gardens, the afternoon tea, the baronial dining-room, the very full English breakfast and the smiley, helpful staff.
We liked pretty much everything!
The most opulent room we have ever stayed in, a real taste of how millionaires lived at the start of the 20th Century. Breakfast could not be faulted
Had to check back in before midnight after going out on Sat eve, but this was not a problem for us as this is a place to come for a restful w/e
Great location, beautiful area
Had to ask for towels in the room, teenagers serving at breakfast never brought tea or coffee to us
Lovely ambience and the rooms were beautifully styled and clean. Breakfast was excellent with smooth music playing.
Senior staff were unfriendly and offish! You felt like you were an intruder! Not easy to walk to the Henry VIII pub. You have to walk outside the grounds and onto the main road which is not lit. Late time to check in and early check out! You only have limited access to the grounds when it is closed to the public.
