“The staff were friendly and helpful. We were expecting a normal double room and we actually had a suite. Service was great and they also have a lovely restaurant. I would recommend Hever Hotel to anyone.”
Tracy,
Gillingham
Surrounded by the historic houses and castles, this hotel exudes character and charm, just 15 minutes from highway M25 and with easy access to local, renowned tourist attractions. Originally the farm serving Hever Castle, a conversion of the original stables and cottages has created a series of hotel rooms and apartments that are charmingly individual. The hotel borders the castle, which was the childhood home of King Henry VIII's queen, Anne Boleyn. Hever Hotel is 10 minutes from Edenbridge, and approximately 45 minutes from central London. Trains run from Edenbridge through to London Victoria, and from Hildenborough through to London Charing Cross. It provided us a room and some food - but nothing that would make us return Starkly furnished rooms, no literature in bedrooms, no tea/coffee making facilities, poorly lit bathroom, poor quality soap etc, insufficient space for guests to be served breakfast plus many defects with room. Overall very poor quality and service for the cost

Very well located Not really very much at all.....Whilst the room was clean, there was no Radio or TV, anywhere to sit down and eat breakfast which is where we had to have it (nooption given). Whilst we had a fantastic evening at Hever Castle the hotel experience was underwhelming although the staff were very pleasand and helpful.

The location was very good as we had a wedding to go to nearby. We found the room a little tired and in need of up-dating for the price we paid, We understand that this is being done.

It was wonderful to be met by such friendly and helpful staff. The food, breakfast was of good quality and well cooked. A poached egg well done is a sure sign of a good cook. What a lovely place to stay, unique and very comfortable whilst so affordable. We will be back again possible 3-4 times a year. Thank you

Very helpful, friendly staff. Excellent evening meal. Lovely lounge area upstairs - newly done. Very comfortable, tastefully furnished, modern room. - plenty of room with sitting area and even a fridge! Clean, bright bathroom. Beautiful old buildings. Set in great location in the Kent countryside with walks from the hotel and places of interest to visit. Will go again! Bedroom walls are very thin - we were woken in the early hours by a group returning from a wedding a then again at 5am with banging around next door. Area round the car park and main entrance could be smartened up a bit - although I know lots of work is being done at the moment.

Cleanliness of rooms. Lovely decor. History of the hotel. Location. Lack of tv or radio in the room. Lack of toiletries in the bathroom. What about the history of the hotel. Dates, the Churchill connection etc. Very poor action on our complaint re the evening meal.

We have arrived at the hotel around 7pm and were already dark and our sat navigation has taken us on the wrong place. The receptionist was excellent with her direction and she manages to find us and direct us to the hotel. We have dinner in the hotel and the food was excellent service too. I will recommend this hotel to my friends. The location is fantastic very nice for a day break.

The friendliness of the staff who were only too pleased to help you but didnt overwhelm you with 'customer care speak'.They all seemed really genuine about what they did and clearly enjoyed working there.Hotel is in a beautiful setting and was very relaxing.Food was good too.

Breakfast was excellent and staff very accommodating, as no heating on in the bedroom provided a convector heater for my asthmatic husband. Dusty lounge area and upstairs - be aware the hotel is under-going building work and the tv only had 3 channels. Room 42 had couple of cracks in the walls and the bathroom light did not work.
