Surrounded by the historic houses and castles, this hotel exudes character and charm, just 15 minutes from highway M25 and with easy access to local, renowned tourist attractions. Originally the farm serving Hever Castle, a conversion of the original stables and cottages has created a series of hotel rooms and apartments that are charmingly individual. The hotel borders the castle, which was the childhood home of King Henry VIII's queen, Anne Boleyn. Hever Hotel is 10 minutes from Edenbridge, and approximately 45 minutes from central London. Trains run from Edenbridge through to London Victoria, and from Hildenborough through to London Charing Cross. It provided us a room and some food - but nothing that would make us return Starkly furnished rooms, no literature in bedrooms, no tea/coffee making facilities, poorly lit bathroom, poor quality soap etc, insufficient space for guests to be served breakfast plus many defects with room. Overall very poor quality and service for the cost

Big room, nice breakfast. Hot water, but tiny bath towels. Quiet location but somewhat misrepresented on the web site. We were given no key, on a wet night, to our outside room. Food was incredibly slow in spite of the place being very empty. One waiter who tried manfully to cope with the complaints about the restaurant. Pillows like a rock, bedroom very very hot. No directions en route to the hotel. The reception hall smelt strongly of the fact that the toilets were close by, which did not make for a nice welcome.

Cleanliness of rooms. Lovely decor. History of the hotel. Location. Lack of tv or radio in the room. Lack of toiletries in the bathroom. What about the history of the hotel. Dates, the Churchill connection etc. Very poor action on our complaint re the evening meal.

It was quiet and friendly. The rooms were extremely clean. Positioned in the countryside. Breakfast was tasty (buffet style). Nice bathroom! Tv didn't work in the rooms.

The people were very talkative and pleasant. It was very relaxful, didn't want to leave the place! The food was lovely!

We have arrived at the hotel around 7pm and were already dark and our sat navigation has taken us on the wrong place. The receptionist was excellent with her direction and she manages to find us and direct us to the hotel. We have dinner in the hotel and the food was excellent service too. I will recommend this hotel to my friends. The location is fantastic very nice for a day break.

The room was very nice, newly refurbished and tastefully done. Comfortable bed and bedding. Very comfortable enjoyable stay. Needs more ambiance in the dining room, maybe background music and someone explaining about breakfast, ie self service but eggs cooked as you like them. Would also have been nice if the tables were set up with cutlery plates etc

We liked the style of the hotel and the overall set up of the rooms, (like a small village) and the friendly/relaxed/helpful staff 1)The tv kept losing signal & had to call reception several times until we gave up. 2)The noise from the planes kept us awake for a while so need better/some double glazing.

Very convenient for a wedding at Hever Castle, room quite spacious. Due to layout (motel style) was noisy in the morning. Quality of bed and pillows not great for £100 a night

The staff were friendly if a little scruffy. The hotel was in the process of being refurbished so everything was a little chaotic other than our room which was newly refurbed. Pity they didn't change the grouting in the bathroom. Grouting was very grubby - a thing I hate! It met our needs for that night as we were attending a business dinner at Hever Castle - would stay again in same circumstances. Our tv was not working - but that apparently was throughout the hotel.

Recently refurbished to a High specification. Friendly staff, accommodating to our specific needs. Lovely breakfast. The televisions in the room were not working but they were trying to fix and offered us dvd'S. There was no tissues in the room and no water in the fridge.

The location was very good as we had a wedding to go to nearby. We found the room a little tired and in need of up-dating for the price we paid, We understand that this is being done.
