We were free to come and go as we pleased, with minimum contact with staff. The air freshener, it spayed every time people walked past and made the entrance smell over-powering. |

My room was clean and spacous with views overlooking the rear court yard. Staff were vey friendly and efficient. Breakfast was by table serivce which was served promptly. I had the full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection . This hotel was excellent value and I will have no hesitation to book in on future visits to York. |

Location to the city centre, excellent breakfast choice, good rate for single person (my daughter stayed in room 4 on the Sunday evening). Stayed in room 38 for first night which was a bit cramped and blinds let in too much light through the night. |

We stayed in an annexe which is two doors away from the hotel which is not ideal, and when we booked we were not made aware of this. The breakfast was very poor also. |

The room was large and comfortable and warm. I loved the whiskey bar and the lobby, as well as the absolutely fabulous breakfast service. The hotel is wonderful and I will definitely choose it next time I have no place to stay in York. |
