We were free to come and go as we pleased, with minimum contact with staff. The air freshener, it spayed every time people walked past and made the entrance smell over-powering. |

Staff were pleasant and attentitive, quality food at breakfast. Its in York, which is lovely. It was just about value for money (see below). Digital TV. Tea/Coffee facilities were fine. The drawers on most of the chests were falling off. The three quarter bed was very uncomfy as well as the awful pillows. There was a sink outside of the bathroom which was a slight annoyance. We were put in the Anex building which meant we had to walk the short distance to the main building (in the rain) for breakfast. I'm being pedantic now. There was a small hair where you put your shower equipment. The toilet roll holder was extremely annoying. |

My room was clean and spacous with views overlooking the rear court yard. Staff were vey friendly and efficient. Breakfast was by table serivce which was served promptly. I had the full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection . This hotel was excellent value and I will have no hesitation to book in on future visits to York. |

Location to the city centre, excellent breakfast choice, good rate for single person (my daughter stayed in room 4 on the Sunday evening). Stayed in room 38 for first night which was a bit cramped and blinds let in too much light through the night. |

We stayed in an annexe which is two doors away from the hotel which is not ideal, and when we booked we were not made aware of this. The breakfast was very poor also. |
