    smell of the toilet, bath and shower curtain was bad. A twin room was ordered and payed for, a sleeping couch was offered, not quite the same comfort as a bed with a real mattress. Opening the window for fresh air was a disaster, since the air conditioning units where on the roof in front of room 350. All over not a pleasant stay, will not recommend and will certainly not return.

    Very good, a lovely nights...

    If you don't arrive before 23.15 the last shuttle bus for the hotel leaves, I got held up in the airport and had to pay for a taxi which was £12 for a short distance

    The room was stinking hot, had to keep window closed as we were next to outside airconditioning units which were very loud. We asked for someone to check our roon aircon as it didn't work, but no one came. The bed was disgusting for a hotel bed - soft and sank in the middle! We kept rolling together. Had no sleep at all and we were on a very long flight the next day.

    The attitude of all staff was friendly. The food was good and nicely presented.

    the pool and gym was fine.

    the room was tired carpets were dirty, to be honest the television didnt work the room was dark the room needed a lick of paint, the whole experience was bad i booked the holiday inn because i see it as a respectable brand ive stayed in the holiday inn in birmingham new street and it was impeccable, the same experience when i was in manchester, the staff were unhelpful in the sense when they moved our room they just moved it 4 doors down, i know the hotel is being refurbished but still look after your customers when they complain, i really felt embarressed having to ask to move rooms. staff were ok but unhelpful. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone until its fully refubished, this is the first ever review ive wrote.

    Location, room was nice, generally a good hotel

    Abuse of disabled parking bays by non disabled guests, many disabled bays were occupied by non blue badge holders, when reception was informed they were not interested

    everything was great with regards to the hotel

    the parking was just a no go area I was told to just go away for two or three hours as the parking spaces were all taken up and then charged £8.50 when I did find a space not good when you iust want to go to your room and settle down

    Not enough milk for tea/coffee in room, even asked for more, but didn't get any Breakfast really expensive Corridor to room needs updating

    We were attending a gig at the LG Arena. The location was perfect and so easy to get to and from the Arena. The staff were incredibly helpful and the room was beyond our expectations...a very enjoyable and would definitely stay there again.

    Great Decor. Clean. Professional. Good food.

    having to stamp ticket each time I left car park. Little kid screaming in distress while being held by the ears by an "instructor" and dragged up and down the swimming pool."instructor" advised me that she had been using this "method" for 20 years

    Easy check in and all the staff were friendly. Very good amenities and excellent breakfast.

    Having to pay £8.50 parking. No bath towels in the room on arrival.

    We upgraded on the day to an executive room as a treat. The room was large and well equipped with a great view of the airport runway. Only 3 miles from Solihull town centre where we spent the evening. Staff were polite and helpful if needed but we also appreciated the privacy and freedom the hotel offered. The pool was a lovely bonus too. We stayed in a 4* hotel not so long ago and I must say i enjoyed holiday inn @ birmingham airport much more :-) I would definitely reccomend this hotel!

    The shower in our room looked very promising but unfortunately the water pressure was not strong enough to fullfill its purpose. A minor glitch really but I like a good shower.

    Good leisure facilities. Stayed for a party held in the Lancaster Suite. The buffet food was excellent, the staff were attentive. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. We paid a very low rate for the night, but looking at the rates displayed in reception, I certainly wouldn't have been happy to pay the day rate.

    With the exception of the swimming pool, the whole hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment, i.e. decoration of rooms, public areas, re-covering bedroom furniture and the bathrooms need up-grading.
