Location,price ,comfortable bed, quiet,good breakfast
no fuse in towel rail, car park too expensive, a little tired in decor & maintenance
bar food very over priced. room very small bathroom very pokey the place would be soaked if you were to have a shower even when using the shower curtain
Good location; convenient hours, excellent breakfast buffet
Buffet not laid out in full for b'fast, waiting staff not aware. Entrance poorly signposted off main road at night
the room was very noisy - traffic very close-plus other 'mechanical' noises. I could not sleep at all!
Perfect location for NEC, very proffesional, helpful and chatty staff, got upgraded to the suite room. As we were travelling with dogs everyone was extremely friendly. Overall brilliant!
Cold in the restaurant.
excellent location for the NEC or the airport. Service from the staff was very good. room service very prompt. facilities very good.. room clean and tidy and bed extremely comfortable.
room service food could have been a bit warmer but then again it was delivered to my room. the buying film service wasnt working when i stayed there unforuntaly, just bad luck on that day im guessing.
we liked the hotel in general, room was very nice and the Bar Food was excellent. The hotel was very clean and staff were polite. Everything very clean
Our heating didn't work but they brought a radiator. When we got to bed the reading lights at the bedside weren't working, no shower cap in the bathroom. No where in the grounds good for walking dogs and you had to pay £8.50 to park overnight which is unreasonable. We got a good deal but would not pay full price.
Efficient and polite staff, very comfortable room and easy access to the airport through your shuttle.
We were told we could only choose food off of the bar menu, but other guests were able to use the restaurant menu, not impressed.
Room toilet did not flush, bath slow to drain, some lights not working. Bizarre courtesy bus times. Not up to usual Holiday Inn standards
Transport - Driver excellent!
It was overall lovely, the staff, the room, the breakfast, location near where we needed to be
Couldn't park Cold in corridors Breakfast a bit cold
the manager and shuttle driver seemed to genuinely care and would have deserved to work at a better place.
small room, low ceiling, oil radiator as heating due to remodelling, 'view' from my room was to a wall/structure 1 meter from my window. Bed was too short, hallways and general facilities dated, very noisy party on the night I was there. For what I paid I had definitely expected more.
Good location for airport pleasant staff good restaurant.
Good modern decor, bed was comfy
Cutlery at breakfast was dirty. Every day plates at buffet were dirty. Customers were actually staking them in a separate pile. One morning my fork had dried on food, the other lipstick on my coffee mug Reception staff serive was appalling, uninterested and unhelpful. Trainee didn't have a clue, waited in a long queue to be served as only one member of staff on some occasions. Manager was very patronising when raising a complaint and replied in what can only be described at 'what was in the text book' Asked for ajoining rooms on booking. Didn't happen. £8.50 per night parking charge which wasn't stated on arrival and there was no parking spaces available and customers were abandoning cars all over car park, not is designated spaces Bathrooms have wet rooms. No one likes the whole bathroom to be wet after a shower. I will not be returning
good swimming pool though separate towels not provided.Staff remained pleasant even when very stretched.
long wait for supper and long queues for sunday breakfast.very disorganised. inadequate heating in bar and bedrooms. Dungeon like corridor to brdrooms on lower floor.
Location near Birmingham International Free shuttle bus Superb leisure facilities.
The rooms are great, but the hotel overall looks a bit tired.
The room was cold and the heater didn't really warm the room up
Location good for NEC, easy access to Bimingham City centre.
Planes were a little noisy. But it's an airport hotel.
The staff were excellent. In particular I would like to single out Janet Tipley who was extremely helpful with a problem my daughter needed help with. THANK YOU xx
The car park is too small for the amount of people staying at the hotel. There is an overflow but it can be hike when you have lots if bags!
Staff were excellent
looking tired, was not told about ongoing works
Location - close to NEC - great warm & clean pool and gym, grill room for dinner, very nice. Staff were really helpful - Annabel (? Duty manager on reception duty as we checked out) was great, really helpful and a great ambassador for the brand.
Rooms looked tired, but could see refurb going on. A hair in the bed and ripped quilt cover - always a no-no. Parking off site due to packed car park meant an icy walk at night & the next morning. Everywhere felt cold - room heating was off, with plug in radiator not that adequate-public areas felt like air con was on (in December?). Really really soft bed - not to my liking, although daughter loved it.
Location good , staff friendly
Bar food very poor had to send back the homemade pie was supposed to be homemade , would of struggled even at a poor take away , corridors and fittings very shabby not what would expect from holiday inn needs a total overall carpets in corridors really bad
Being charged for parking at a hotel I have already payed for is quite frankly a disgrace
I booked the room several weeks in advance and as a result it was excellent value for money. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.
