Excellent front of house
food over expensive, and possibly the worst pizza i've ever eaten!
place was clean and tidy, staff were first class, great thing a shuttle bus, could not fault it,
bit of a walking distance to the nec,but great that they put on a free shuttle bus
The buffet at the restauraunt was really good. The free Wifi was a nice improvement overall.
The leisure facilities were great, the restaurant was good value and the breakfast plentiful. Although the hotel was looking tired especially outside the experience was overall a good one. The staff in the restaurant were all helpful and if we were heading to the NEC again we would go back
The room could have been a little cleaner but otherwise all good.
Food was surprisingly good - great burger in bar and steak in Grill Room Room esp bathroom was cosy but adequate
No valance on bed base, base sheet didn't quite fit so kept rucking up Mattress had seen better days with a couple of springs poking through Bit mean with coffee sachets esp for coffee drinkers Bottled water would have been nice
Bed was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful but the place was very questionable... Wouldn't stay there again for sure
friendliness and pleasant service from all the staff. also the excellent breakfast we received each day (superb) keep up the good work.
Pleasant receptionist printed our boarding pass
Poor quality Bar Food and Breakfast
Shuttle bus to airport & train station, fantastic service
Close to airport with the shuttle bus as well and staff were friendly and helpful
The checking in Staff were very good and helpful.
The noise of the airplanes so I didn't get a good nights sleep and also I was just soaked when arriving in a taxi with suitcases it was torrential rain and to get up the stairs to the hotel not really ideal in bad weather as your roof was also leaking. I had just had my hair done for a Ball so was not very happy?.
The bed was amazing! Very comfortable. Clean room! Breakfast was lovely and steak for tea was very good too! Receptionists were very helpful and accommodating!!
Restaurant Staff rushed us while eating our food, waited a long time for staff to come over and take order even though it was quite.
We wasn't very impressed as we were spending over £150.00 for our room we then had to pay for the parking. surely if you are a guest parking should be free.
Restaurant was great, staff were really friendly
Our room (350) was right next to a set of doors in the corridor and we were kept awake all night by them opening & closing. They also need to make people aware when Hindu weddings are taking place as the music was very loud until quite late in the evening which also didnt help with the sleep situation
Very clean stylish and got free upgrade to executive rooms . Modern plenty free tea coffee in room.
Apart from 1 rude member staff sulky teenager. Rest was excellent.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I travel many times for work and I have never come across such appalling hotel staff as those employed at this hotel. When booking online you are asked for a room preference and this is totally ignored by reception who will just give you any room they please.
Free shuttle to and from Birmingham international train station but no signs showing where you should wait. Nice room
Bar staff disorganised and it was expensive Very noisy pool as baby/children swimming lessons going on so couldn't relax (it was a Thursday evening) Small place to sit outside but a bit makeshift - could be a lot nicer
Friendly staff Newly decorated executive rooms Good breakfast Good mini bus shuttle to and from NEC railway station and airport
Paying to park, it should be included in the price of your stay! Lack of parking on busy days Bar menu unimaginative, lacking in healthy options and pricey for what it is.
Unfortunately there was no security at this hotel at night time. We experienced noise from the room next to us from 9pm onwards. At 12 midnight I went down to the front desk for help, however, nothing was ever done. At 1am I again went to the front desk for help, again nothing was done. Because it was impossible to sleep I layed outside our bedroom door waiting for the next door people to come out - they eventually came back from the bar and asked if I was ok as I was lying on the floor totally distressed. I know that confronting other guests is a dangerous thing to do, however, I could not cope with the noise any longer - 4 hours was enough. I explained to them that the noise of all these people going in and out of their room and banging the door kept us awake. They apologised profusely went into their room and we didn't hear them again. Why doesn't Holiday Inn have security staff at night, especially on a Saturday to deal with these situations? We will never stay in a Holiday Inn ever again. The following Saturday night we stayed in a Premier Inn in Oxford surrounded by rooms with people with tiny children - we never heard one sound from any of them. Premier Inn walk the floors every hour and check - they guarantee a good nights sleep.
no airport to hotel shuttle service
swimming pool good quality
piped music and TV loud in all public areas. restaurant staff seemed inexperienced and slow bedroom furniture was showing its age
Shuttle bus to / from airport Room breakfast etc all very good
Rooms Bar Service Sauna and Pool Breakfast
The wait to check in!
Staff were very helpful. Very close to the airport.
No information at airport to show courtesy bus isn't at airport. You have to take the monorail then the courtesy bus is at the station
Nicely re furbished clean room ,shame you hadn't renewed the mattress
Worst mattress even. Needs disposed of !!
