Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport  

This is Stuart Barnes filling this in. I originally booked and paid for the room with my debit card. Yet when my friends arrived at the hotel to take my place you charged them for the room also!!! This is not acceptable and I wn.ould like an explanation asap.

Very enjoyable stay great location

The staff were exceptionally helpful especially organising free transfers to the station. The gym and poolside were great. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have had.

The facilities were nicely layed out and relaxing the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was terrific.

My only grumble was the the matteres on the bed had a slight dip to the middle which didn't allow for a full nights sleep which was unfortunate. I would be inclinded to order a twin room next time for a better night sleep.

Location to NEC Birmingham Daily shuttle to NEC, Birmingham Airport and Train

I couldn't understand why the difference in response to the hotel from various reports now I can! My room was not much better than the average Travelodge - adequate very tired not particularly clean. My colleague's was as expected, quality decor, modern etc. I was staying for 4 nights which was the reason we upgraded from our general Premier Inn should not have bothered. Staff were pleasant but could not do anything to upgrade the room, no response from general manager to my complaints. Moral is make sure you ask for a refurbished room when booking otherwise save your money and book into the travelodge next door which has only just opened!

Excellent service throughout stay.Rooms have everything needed including iron and ironing board!!!!!Brilliant location for shopping.

It was not what I expected . The bed was really small for a double room and also had a soft matters that pushed us down and was not comfortable . I have never slept on such a mattress before. It was awful.

Clean,sharp and staff very pleasant

The bar costs were sheer extortion (£4.95 for pint of Guinness). Blatant profiteering the company should be ashamed of itself. The delivery costs to this hotel are no more than any pub or bar yet their mark up is huge. Will not be booking again in a hurry, had to go into town by taxi - not happy!!

staff were very friendly

on web page had choice of smoking or non smoking. we ticked yes. next day a letter was left in our room about the smoking and were very politely not to smoke of be charged a £50 fee. as an ashtray was in our room my partner did smoke. but when mentioned to staff they could not have been more helpful and were brilliant. next morningat approx 9am a cleaner just tried to walk into our room . which we werent too happy about and receptionist was so sorry, so despite the 2 blips in our stay, due to staff helpfullness/friendliness we would definately stay here again and recommend the hotel to others

I was very pleased with the Holiday Inn Airport hotel Birmingham as it was friendly a good location , good room and a great breakfast - all in all a very nice and comfortable stay at areasonable price. Thank you.
