The price is great value The shower - really powerful

Rude female receptionist - ignorant and short with me. Never looked at me once and treated me with contempt. She was not British (had an Eastern European accent) The male receptionist was overcome with embarrassment and did everything to make my welcome a pleasant one. I was so surprised and really disappointed. Also, the gym was closed for no apparent reason. Really disappointing as its a good gym.

Good price for quality of hotel

This hotel was once a favouite of mine but it has considerably gone down in my estimations. These are the main problems with my stay -Room 146 was MILES from reception, underground, with an awful view. It was like the back of beyond getting to and from the room and was not pleasant. -I booked a twin room for the night, but when I got to my room it was a double, and we had to go all the way back to reception to clarify we would be needing a twin. -Next to our room there were clearly a group of kids or people who knew each other who were slamming their doors all night long. - We used the pool and when we were in the jacuzzi, unsupervised children ran in with armbands and floats and were splashing all around the jacuzzi. The hotel should send people down to check this. The pool/bedroom towel situation is also poorly managed. -We had a 'mild' Lamb Rogan Josh for dinner which was so spicy it was inedible. The manager handled this poorly and even though we couldn't eat it as it was disgustingly hot, no money was even taken off the bill even though the plates still had plenty of food on them -Breakfast is revolting in the restaurant. Like a cattle ranch and it is very rough, it didn't have a nice Holiday Inn feeling, it was chavvy and horrible -The flight back charges the most ridiculous prices! Really shocking for the quality of the disgusting food. We had a panini for £12 and it was soggy and had cheap cheese and a smidgen of tuna in. Really disgusting and pathetic for the price. This hotel has really lost its appeal. We had a HORRIBLE stay and will never be returning. -Further to this, £8.50 for the car park should be included, pathetic pricing

Best thing about this hotel is it is ideal for events at the NEC as it has a free courtesy bus to the venue. this could also be used for stays before your holiday flight from Birmingham International airport. What a relaxing start to your holiday with use of the hotels Gym, pool, steam room and jacuzzi! Its a real chill out experience !

The night we stayed there was a party in the hotels function room which was very noisy til nearly 2am

First room was dirty so got moved and second room had a wall socket hanging off and the bed was very uncomfortable you could feel all the springs. Menu was way to expensive and disgusting that they charge £8.50 for parking.

I was deserate for a accommadation as I had no where booked, and your Solihull Hotel staff (as they were fully booked), found me a room at the Birmingham Airport Hotel, really good Customer service and very much appreciated.

No real issues, its all functional and ok and at a price........

Difficulty finding pick up point for courtesy bus. Sunday evening arrival at airport so few people around and no-one could help. No signs in airport.

no free internet in rooms, reception staff are vague, bordering on incompetent. room looked a bit tired.

Staff were very friendly, service was excellent and our upgraded room was fantastic.

Lovely pool, steam room &Juccuzzi

Expensive Parking for no good reason other than to extort extra money £8.50 to park overnight is way excessive. You shouldn't charge anything!

Went to one direction concert. Courtesy bus was excellent.

Pool was too cold to swim in - very dissapointing. And couldn't see have to switch bubbles on in jacuzzi. We weren't the only ones.

The service at breakfast was excellent especially the gentleman taking care of the hot buffet, very friendly and happy in his job. Also the housekeeping staff we saw were friendly and all of them wished us good morning,Restaurant was clean and spacious. Rooms , linen and beds were lovely and clean.

There was an awful damp smell on the floor we were staying which was not pleasant but didn't ruin our stay. Also reception staff wee not very friendly and welcoming.

I took my 10yr old daughter to hotel to stay over night whilst visitng the lg Arena to see One DIrection in concert. Found the complimentary shuttle bus to the arena, swimming pool and offer for kids to stay and eat free excellent! Also travelling solo in the hotel with a young child I felt completely safe, and will definately stay again.

Lovely rooms and friendly staff

I enjoyed the pool, it was clean, and a good size. Changing rooms were good too. The bed was comfortable with a thick duvet. Good location for the NEC.

The paint work in the room looked a mess. I think the decorator was 12 yrs old. The bedside light broken. The TV remote broken. Hallways/corridors in need of decorating (not same one please)

Quality of food was ok.. Service was good.

Hotelroom was cold..even in the Bar and Restaurant. Window isolation in the room was not 100% tight so that Airport noise came in the room. Bed matrass was old and in bad shape.

Hotel was nice, we were upgraded to a suite which was lovely.

What I didn't like was the fact that when I book through booking.com there is no guarantee of a twin room, this has happened twice to me! We arrived at the hotel close to midnight after a 5 hour flight from Egypt to be told there were no twin rooms, luckily the person on reception found another room and upgraded us to a suite, so my friend slept on a sofa bed. Same experience at the Crown Plaza where there were no twin rooms.
