The Hickstead Hotel is in quiet Sussex countryside, a short drive from Brighton and Gatwick Airport. It has free parking, free Wi-Fi and rooms with a private bathroom and satellite TV including Sky Sports. The Hickstead Hotel is close to the A23. The center of Brighton is 12 miles away and London Gatwick Airport is 18 miles from the hotel. The modern rooms are large and have bathrooms with bathtubs and power showers. A full traditional English breakfast is available each day and is freshly cooked. The Oak Tree Bistro and Grange Bar offer fresh, seasonal food and a range of drinks. Room service is also available. Hotel Rooms: 52, Hotel Chain: Classic Lodges.

Good size room. Good food. When arrived with 3 month old baby we learnt that there is a wedding at the hotel. We stayed in our room for the whole evening, as we did not want to clash with drunk party in the lobby bar.

Staff amazing from reception on arrival to late bar manager (special mention, really looked after us when we returned from family wedding reception gone midnight, and wanted a night cap) Finally the guy at breakfast who was really efficient and friendly. Would definitely stay again. Very clean and friendly at a reasonable price. Being very picky now but possibly more choice on 'in-room' breakfast. Maybe ham, cheese, roll etc..

A basic hotel offering average pub grub style food. Equivalent to a Travelodge. Charging higher prices than a Travelodge. We didn't appreciate being given a room very close to the noisy function room where a wedding was taking place. Why not put the many wedding guests in the rooms nearest the function?

Stayed at Hickstead on a romantic break for wifes birthday, easy access from motorway m23/a23, excellent value for money, half board menu was very good. Roses, chocolates and Champagne supplied as promised. All in all a very good hotel. Room was typical hotel room, bland, but clean and functional.

As you can see we were very very happy at the Hickstead Hotel ,breakfast was particularly good and all the staff were noticably polite and very helpful 100% happy to recommend this hotel

The staff were attentive and friendly, especially the barman who was very pleasant for the evening we spent at the hotel. The room was spacious and spotless, didn't eat in the evening but breakfast was very good, would definitely stay again.

The hotel was very well located for Brighton, Crawley and surrounding areas. It was well priced, clean and tidy with an excellent English breakfast. The staff were very polite and helpfull and I would happily stay there again.

Hotel is situated in a nice setting away from the main road but very easy to get too. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us with our 9 week old baby. We will definitely be back for another break soon.

The hotel was chosen as a meeting venue and it was very convenient to stay there the previous evening. I was contacted before arrival to ask if we required an evening meal. The member of staff was extremely helpful. Thank you.

“My wife and i had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Highdown Hotel, The room was better than we expected and the staff were absolutely fantastic and we cant praise them enough. We ate several times in the restaurant and must say the food was delicious on every occassion. The bar was a bit pricey but acceptable, the management were a very nice couple and seem to work very hard every time we went to the bar or restaurant they were on duty and always had a smile.
