the breakfast was very good.
short of parking space
Location, Pleasant staff, Parking.
staff are really great, rooms are nice and clean, beds are very comfy, rooms are of a good size
the breakfast's... in my opinion this always lets the side down at these types of hotels...
Great base for exploring Leith
Problems with heating made it difficult to control room temperature - staff were very helpful in alleviating problem
Helpful staff at reception. Rooms comfortable. Breakfast plentiful . Good location with good public transport access to the city.
Bedrooms to hot at night for me..
Easy to get in and out of town and just across from ocean terminal. Room was clean and shower was hot with some power. Comfy bed with choice of pillows. Secure parking. Ticked all our boxes as we were only there to sleep.
Basic breakfast, my husband would have liked more.
Excellent transport links to city centre.
Nice clean room. Staff very helpful. Bus stop righ outside hotel. Plenty choice at breakfast. 2 minute walk from Ocean Terminal.
The situation, right near the sea. The commodities nearby. The bus line terminal with a direct acces to the airport for only 1.5 pounds. The bus line with a direct acces to city center. The Ocean terminal.
The hotel is far from everything. The center is 20 min away by bus. The airport is 1.5 h away.
Car Parking, Room and excellent breakfast.
closeness to the britainia . excellent parking
wifi do not work in our room , staff called wifi people who wanted me to change settings on my computor . i refused as i have not had to do this before , was then given a new room and upgrade on wifi, worked well then . hotel not worth the 120 pounds it cost ,the most expensive hotel we have found on this trip we got better deals elsewhere and noved on after 1 night to starvilla .
GoodLocation, friendly staff, decent facilites
location bus stop right outside to get into edinburgh
Poor selection and poor quality for cooked breakfast.
Parking was a big incentive to use this hotel. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was convenient for travelling into the city centre.
Breakfast was a bit basic but there was plenty of it. It became very busy in the breakfast area.
Location good for getting into the city and plenty of eating options close by. Availability of extra tea, coffee and milk for room on request.
Would be enhanced by mini fridge in rooms.
It was difficult not to like anything, to be honest . . . . the inclusive breakfast, the quiet rooms, the friendly staff, the clever bathroom arrangement, proximity to public transport, and the location beside the docks and the Ocean Terminal comple. A chance online booking paid off. We will be looking for Holiday Inn Express locations for future trips around the UK.
Walking distance from the Yacht. 15-20 mins by bus to princes street and the royal mile.
Carpet and bathroom cleanliness
My husband needed to visit his birthplace. We were well received in a clean and well run hotel and the breakfast was copious every day. Staff were unfailingly polite and helpful and housekeeping in our room was impeccable. I hope we can visit again soon, both Leith and Edinburgh.
When checking in, another couple had wanted a twin room (which was all we could book at the time). As it happened, we wanted a double, so the reception staff swapped it for us, which was a bonus. Good bathroom, shower, tea/coffee facilities and telly.
The price. It was an awful lot of money for what you really got. Perhaps we're too used to the value-for-money we find at home. Breakfast was generally very good, but not huge fans of the ready-made scrambled eggs.
Location, Service and friendly, helpful staff.
very limited hot food choice for breakfast.
We had a great weekend stay recently in this hotel. Couldn't fault it but we did pick a very popular time to stay with the Fringe on which bumped the price up considerably. But, still a lot cheaper than other places in the area. We would definitely return for a stay here as very easy and regular public transport into the City.
nice & handy,clean
I was given 2 keys that wouldn't open my room & I had to go back to the reception twice.
Staff helpful with directions, bus service very regular and stop outside of hotel.
Carpet in bedroom in need of cleaning.
Most things. Great location
Price......because it was Festival Time in Edinburgh.
