Very friendly and helpful staff I thought the cooked breakfasts were of a poor quality..,.only 3 items of sausages eggs and beans were available...no bacon ?? no tomatoes no mushroooms no hash browns. The cooked breakfast's were the only let down to an otherwise very good two day stay.

I choose this hotel as I have stayed a few times before. However I was very annoyed that they no longer have smoking rooms. No one bothered to tell me despite my request for a smoking room by e mail. Otherwise the hotel is in an excellent location and the staff are freindly and very helpful. No smoking rooms!

Found everything about Holiday Inn Express was clean tidy and near to bus stop, staff welcoming and friendly. Like the idea of breakfast self service. Hotel seemed to be full but not noisey. Would use the hjotel again. Not enough coffee / milk in rooms to enjoy a relax in your room. Bar limiited to open at 4pm should be sooner than that at weekends.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at Edinburgh Waterfront for two nights and were extremely impressed with it. The room was spacious and practical. The breakfast made up in generosity what it lacked in variety. The location was great - close enough to the centre of the city but far enough removed to allow free parking and close to the shopping facilities of Ocean Terminal. The staff were fantastic (especially the young lady with dark hair and glasses - a great asset to the hotel as she was so friendly, efficient, considerate and helpful) - all in all, we had a very positive experience.

Great Location - very close to the Ocean Terminal, shops, restaurants; bus stop right at the door to get into Edinburgh. Room was a good size with a large comfortable bed. Very expensive "cheap" hotel - we paid £230+ for two nights for a room with a plastic shower curtain in a tiny bathroom and a basic (really basic!) breakfast

comfortable bed and pillows, large powerful shower walls very thin. Could hear man next door snoring all night long and very loudly!!. Breakfast poor choice compared to Premier Inn. Value poor compared to Premier Inn. would not normally pay £100 for a night given a choice. You only got the business because all the other budget chain hotels were booked up. Asked for double room and was given twin

Hotel staff were very helpfull. The hotel did not have a record of my booking which I had made via the booking.com website. Due to the hotel being fully booked on that particular night it took some time to sort out but I did eventually get a room.

Excellent position right beside bus-stop. Bathroom was spotless & shower excellent. Lift to rooms, which were quiet at night. Comfortable bed with fresh cotton bedlinen. Good variety of food for breakfast. Staff kept the dining room tables clean & food replenished. Calm atmosphere at breakfast.

Great value for money. If you want to shop, Ocean Terminal is on your doorstep and there is a 10 minute bus service outside the hotel which will take you to all the major tourist attractions in Edinburgh. (Castle, Princes Street, Museums etc. All this at a fraction of Hotel costs in the centre of Edinburgh. The area around the hotel is awash with restaurants ( Of every variety) so no problem in catering for diverse tastes. All in all a great experience. We will be back.

We were already aware of Holiday Inn Express at this location. It is an ideal location as you can get the bus to the city cdentre from the door. Excellent value for money - would stay again. No complaints at all.
