Easy transport to Excel and Blackheath as I was running vlm. Other runners at hotel, plus early morning porridge on race day. Good breakfast. Nice hot shower, but I'd have preferred a bath, especially after the race.

Staff very helpful, excellent location, 5 mins from Stratford station & olympic site. Hotel smart & clean The satellite tv hardly picked up any channels, ok for mainstream channels. Bed wasn't the most comfortable but only really minor quibbles :)

good facillities night shift staff as my family were kept from their room with a faulty access card around 23.30 pm and staff refuse entry to them as the room was rented within my name while I were on the way to the station to catch a train I have to get of the next station to return to the hotel to proof my identity my famility were totally traumtised and we book out at 4.00 am to move accross the road to Travelodge

All the above. An extra blanket in the room would be handy for those who like windows open overnight. Staff very accommodating when friend fell ill. ALL staff cheerful/helpful whether cleaning/attending breakfast/at the desk.

We wanted a reasonably priced hotel for a one night stay, as we were going to the Velodrome for the Olympic Test event. Hotel staff were very friendly and explained best routes to the venue. Very pleased overall with the hotel. Thank you very much

The receptionist and staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The buffet provided a selection of cereals, fruit, yogurts, juices and delicious pastries. And hot (sometimes) scrambled egg, beans and sausages.The staff at the buffet breakfast were extremely pleasant and gave an excellent service with a smile and good humour. A luggage storage area was helpful on the day of our departure. The lifts were temporarily out of order. Seating was a little cramped in the dinningroom/ lounge area.

The night manager enabled us to book out later as we could not book in at 2pm. Parking was made easy as we booked in at 3am. Breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast itself basic but nice. Room was very cold - had to ask for extra blanket as none provided in room. Although a three bar radiator was also put in room, it remained uncomfortably cold. Bed was low and maybe too 'spongy' for older people.

Location and decor The room was freezing, we stayed the night we had snow and temp outside -2, at 1.30am we had to move room because we where so cold and our heating wasn't working. Room number 2 was warmer but the heating fan was so noisy we couldn't sleep. We where not offered extra blankets which we thought would have been a simple and nice jesture !

Nothing Bad hotel, shower went cold/hot all the time, breakfast is a joke, tv was broken, personnel was lousy, unable to put even a bar drink on a room tab ... Avoid this one people!
