- Welcoming reception staff. - Useful information sheet in room. - Comfortable bed. - Clean room. - Good breakfast minus sausage.
- Walls a bit thin. Could hear neighbouring rooms TV in the morning. - Hotel just slightly too far from the centre meaning taxi needed.
Early check out
Very Quiet Plenty of space for the car Less than a £5 in a taxi to centre of Leeds
They are obviously investing in improvements however there are a few things still to do. My single room was quite, comfortable and spacious.
Bathroom sink so small you can't fill the kettle to make a drink. New, spacious wardrobe however no handle to open it and being short couldn't reach top of door to open. Would recommend floor mats in the bathrooms as floor tiles really slippy.
Excellent staff very friendly. Always very helpful
Noise from other guest room
Comfortable bed, clean, close to relatives house that I was visiting.
Noise at night kept me awake caused by other guests banging the doors all night when using communal bathroom next to my room No. 7 a single on suite.
The room had an en suite bathroom and was cheap (£42 for a double room for 1 night).
It had dated decor and seemed like a hostel rather than a hotel. I didn't mind and it served my purposes but my wife (who is a sensitive flower) thought it was extremely insalubrious. The radiator didn't work and I had to use a noisy fan heater to heat the room. The shower dripped constantly. The bathroom had no working ventilation.
Price fact that room was a tiny box room. Awful.
Me and my sister stayed on the 1st of Nov as we went to see Asking Alexandria. The hotel is a 10 min bus ride away from the train station, buses run ever 5 mins which is excellent. (We went to 'leeds info centre' next to the station and were given a map/all the info we needed) hotel was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, fab for the price we paid! we will definitely stay next time we go to a gig! :)
There wasn't a thing we didn't like, we were pleasantly surprised given the price we paid :)
not too far from city centre.....good staff and facilities...very comfortable...would recomend it to friends if going to Leeds
would have preferred to have less beans and eggs and more bacon and a bit of black pudding on breakfast....
The place was clean and tidy with excellent wifi. The bed was very comfortable to the exception of the pillows. Parking was a plenty. Breakfast was very nice with a choice of either continental or full English. For the price paid I would say this is a very good hotel and will be excellent once completed.
The building is a work in progress with parts of the room being incomplete. The rooms are not sound proof so the TV from next door was loud. The pillows were very poor quality.
Especially the breakfast
Friendly, good breakfast
The room was comfortable, bright, and basic. The manager was nice and accommodating. Breakfast was a choice of paid continental, or full English. Continental was extremely filling, nothing else was needed. The Hotel was extremely clean and decorative and quiet.
Located off street on a steep hill. Hence the name. Not good for grannies with mobility issues. If walking with luggage, street badly sign posted and that hill. No problem by cab. Newly renovated and opened, so still needed attention to fine details. I stumped my toes on unfinished bathroom tiles with sharp edges exposed, and that hurt. I pulled back the curtains and they came completely off their rail and fell at my feet. The kettle had dark brown sludge at the bottom which was unsightly. No beautiful views to see.
Wifi signal was good. Continental Breakfast good value at £2.50. Lack of clothes hangers and bedside light was rectified by staff.
The hotel is 2 miles from Leeds City Centre, though the walk is do-able. I walked through the autumnal Potternewton park which is close to the hotel, on the way.
A decent TV, full English was ok
The gap under the window in room 14, wondered why the blinds were moving!! The tiling in the bathroom was terrible my 11 year old daughter could have made a better job of it, there is a half inch gap around the water pipes coming through the wall. The shower head wouldn't stay in position so you had to hold it whilst trying to wash and the water would go through the gaps in tiles and presumably into the room below. Would I stay there again? No chance
Price The Wi-Fi worked :-) It was quiet Bus stop right outside hotel Comfortable and clean
The reception was wonderful. The man who waited for all the late arrivals was lovely. I felt awful because I was delayed and he was very kind.
I had to pay 35pounds but I had booked a room for 29pounds. I did not have a choice! There was an empty drinks bottle on the bed when I entered. The fixtures are half finished with few fittings such as a bed side lamp.
The room was Ok!, with the possibility of heating water using a Kettle and I had a TV, coffee, milk, a pair of towels and shampoo. . . At the end of my stay the person at the reception changed his attitude and was serviceable !.
At the beginning the attention of the person at the reception who received me was not so good as I asked him about if the hotel had computers available for customers and service to wake me up which are quite standard services in other hotels, even in some hostels, however, this person told me, for these type of services I should have paid another hotel due to the fare per night in it was quite cheap. Firstly, I was just asking about, secondly that was not the way to replay.
Really, really good value for money. Excellent free wifi connection. Coffee making facilities and biscuits in room. Separate toiletries. Nice flat screen TV
Being such good value for money the hotel had certainly attarcted some men having a very drunken stay. We were woken up about 4.15am and then kept awake by people in the room above us being very noisy. This however is not the hotel's fault! There was no telephone in the hotel and the reception desk is not manned throughout the night so it was frustrtaing being so disturbed woith no recourse
Good wi-fi. Comfy, warm bed. Lovely shower.
Noisy guests. Conducting loud conversations at 6am.
The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel facilities were spotless and food fresh and hot.
staff very friendly, desk manager very nice and very apologetic about noise throughout the night. Room airy and light. Very Basic comfort but clean and tidy.
Bed was comfortable BUT poor night's sleep due to youngsters (Uni age) going out between 2am and 4.30.going out clubbing apparently. Very noisy. No fault of hotel and if you stay through the week I'm sure it will be fine.
The hotel needs to be cleaned.
