Room was good size, clean and tidy. facilities in room good.
Staff welcome and friendliness could be warmer. Breakfast limited and on second day, no toast on offer.
Location of Hotel was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Having been assured by the staff upon arrival that a meal would be available in the restaurant after we had settled in, we were turned away by staff as they had run out of food. Very disappointed as had to travel again to find somewhere to eat.
Nice clean comfy room
Cooked breakfast seemed to have been out for a while
Location good and very quiet at night.
Had the 4 poster room as it was the only one available at the time of booking, Room a little small for the bed.
Room layout excellent, huge bathroom shame there wasn't a separate shower but we managed. Only for one night after all
The Hotel was in beautiful surroundings!,The staff were friendly, the room was luxurious!,breakfast was 1st class!,The hotel was clean, ideal parking.
The hotel was out in the sticks,so u needed to get a cab to go to the nearest town-to have a drink.the drinks in the bar were very expensive!,as I knew it would b,as there is no competition. The bar staff were friendly-&happy.It would have been nice if the manager or manageress would have knocked on our door to c if everything was okay with our stay.I didn't think that there was enough interaction with the staff and managers to the staying customers.i.e-asking if everything was oka,if anything we needed. This lacked im afraid.!.
Lovely staff, lovely food, spacious rooms and lovely scenic surroundings!
Couldn't get wifi in room only in the bar old building which meant hearing doors and footsteps past your room bathroom could have been a bit better cracks in the bath and floors! Located on a one way system long way round!
Everything. Will definitely come back.
Good parking, food was good and easy to help oneself.
Room - bathroom extractor does not work, and no light switch by the bed - not safe for those of us who need to visit the bathroom during the hours of darkness.
Superb location, amiable staff, great carvery!
Individual lights over the bed are controlled by a central wall switch near the entrance door! A serious design fault.
The atmosphere was very nice. Loved the decorations for Christmas and food. Room was nice too.
It was very hot in the dinning area.
Good size room. Comfortable bed
Thin walls.you can hear people talking in the next room and noise from the bathroom. Breakfast food left to dry out under heaters
I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions, so it is a credit that I am happy to keep returning. On this occasion I stayed in the Mansion Suite, an excellent large room with a fantastic bed and very large bathroom. I will definitely continue to use this hotel.
The Wi-fi was intermittant.
very quaint hotel lovely rooms and very clean
Check-in process was very simple and we found our room to be well equipped with large en-suite, tea/coffee making facilities and a good range of TV channels. Breakfast was excellent and piping hot.
Beds were a little too firm but slept well nevertheless. Exit by car onto Littlehampton Road was a bit risky.
Big room, big bathroom, pleasant location. Good food at a really good price.
Some damp ingress around the window in room 5. Walls are a bit thin.
Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely location on the edge of Sussex Downs.
Clean comfy room, quite grand furniture, friendly attentive staff. Lovely cooked breakfast. Would use again.
Couldn't work the shower or hairdryer out.
We appreciated very much the overall attitude of the staff all very helpful and friendly.we stayed on a Sunday night and unfortunately the restaurant and bar closed far too early,Carvery at 6 o'clockand bar 8.00to 8.30pm,understandable through lack of trade on a Sunday evening in the winter.
And run, number one was very pleasant that could of done without the cobwebs on the bed lights
Setting was good
After booking the hotel, we were informed by family members that there was a discount rate for those attending the wedding which was onsite. We contacted the hotel and notified them that we were attending the wedding hence we informed that we would be entitled to the discount rate but when we got to the hotel, we were charged the full rate which was additional £25.00 per room for 3 rooms hence an excess of £75.00 in total!! Their explanation was that the person we spoke to was a trainee member of staff, however, that is no excuse and the hotel should keep their word. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone, the hair dryer did not work, one of our rooms was noisy, there was lipstick stains on the glass, breakfast food containers were frequently empty and not replenished in timely manner!!
Good location. Room was nicely presented with very comfortable bed. WiFi available.
Bathroom could do with updating. Breakfast good but eggs and bacon on hotplate too long.
Slightly cramped space at breakfast
Nice room, nice feel to hotel. Some staff friendly. Comfy bed.
Just a bit shabby round the edges. Wifi signal poor.
spacious comfortable room and facilities, excellent value for money
building a little tired, but old so lots of maintenance required
